For Kinshasa in version 1 you can actually avoid all enemy encounters, personally, I ghosted (no kills, no knockouts) all of Splinter Cell Double Agent version 1 and it's the only way to have a 100% ranking in Hard difficulty. At 32:20, you can actually avoid this fight by staying on the right

It looks like both the Original Xbox and Xbox360 versions of Double Agent are backwards compatible on the Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles so that'd probably be the best way to play them now.

Playing Splinter Cell Double Agent on PC is the closest I got to go crazy while playing a videogame with all the bugs it has, is almost impossible to play.

I think you missed out on Enrica being an unhealthy replacement for Sarah, that being the point of the death in "Version 2" anyway though. "Version 1" really just feels like the cliff notes of "Version 2" but with prettier graphics. If you combined both, you would easily have my favourite Splinter Cell. Also for presentation purposes, the Xbox versions of eachlook and play much better.

I finished DA version 1 2 days ago on 360 and it's hands down my personal best SC games. Concept of confidence between JBA or NSA, the choices that will make you gain or lose trust to JBA or NSA, the timed missions in the JBA HQ who put the pressure on you, some levels are incredible, maybe the only thing I blame is that some of the missions are in broad daylight, I can't find the essence of the previous SC games. Also, I didn't know that the game was different between generations, I already played DA on Gamecube maybe 5 years ago, never finished it because of the final boss.

I remember the 360 version having pretty solid moment to moment gameplay but a lot of the game outside specific missions was kinda tedious. The safehouse undercover sequences were more annoying than fun, even if it was kinda dope to shoot lambert in a "wow they actually fucking did it" way. Also, what the fuck were they doing with that red dot sight? Its like they thought an rds is some sort of chunky magnifying glass with a dot in the middle to very vaguely direct a swath of bullets towards someone, rather than a precise stealth/combat operators sight. Cant count how many times i would line up a perfect headshot for the first and every shot after to miss.
