The subtitles Here are a Bit of , He Said "aber Herr Kommandant , ich will doch die 88 krachen lassen" which translates to " but Commander , i want to Let the 88 rip" (88 refering to the 88mm Canon)

@@Raiden6277 Luftwaffe was utterly outnumbered by the allies, the constant bombings on German military industries before the D-Day by the Allies, and the bitter air battles in the Soviet Union contributed to the loss of war factories, and less than desirable irons or steel for German forces production made Luftwaffe close to non-existent threat by the time D-Day was a thing

@@SquireComedy The tiger was too far away that the 76 could penetrate it from the front. The tiger would have just stayed at his postion and would have shot faster. And the tiger crew would have known wich tank has the deadly gun for them cause of the look of the canon. So no it wouldn't be good for the movie to be realistic. And still I love this movie.

And for Me262s it's more than true. As US pilots generally followed them around a lot until they landed. At which point the airfield usually went up in flames for some reasons, including the 262s on there.

@@niume7468 Tiger 131 was knocked out in the Africa campaign due to a round to the turret ring from a British Churchill and now it is at the Bovington tank museum where it has been fully restored to be the last operational Tiger.

My dad (US Army) used to tell the story of of being on guard duty alone at night in 1944. He had a tiny shack, an M-1 Carbine, and five bullets, which was all his company commander would allow them to carry (he was afraid of friendly fire). Anyway it was the hour before dawn and he heard the 'clickety click' sound of metal German tank tracks approaching and knew he was in trouble. He had just enough time to run a few feet and get behind a tree as German tank rounded the corner and stopped at his little checkpoint. he peeked around the tree and saw the German commander standing up in the hatch with a map out, lost apparently. The German looked up and saw Dad. Dad said : " all he had to do was nudge the gunner with is foot and i would have been cut in half, so I stepped out from the tree, snapped out a salute and held it." The German stared in the bad light, then slowly returned the salute and told the driver to get going. " What did you do then Dad? " I asked. " Do ? I GOT THE JESUS OUTTA THERE.! That's what I did"

he was pretty clear it was tracked, and every tank was a tiger to GI's. Not sure where it was, definitely France in the fall or early winter 1944 (US Third Army). He ran to the command post, woke up the Sargent and told him a German tank just drove through. His Sargent told him there were no German tanks left and he was 'full of sh*t'. Then the field phone rang and the Sargent started yelling to wake everyone up because German tanks were coming through. They were an ordnance unit, all mechanics, so they had to bug out fast. Which they did or I wouldn't exist to share this story.
