It is time that Jamaica honor Stephen Francis in a real way. This man time, and time again have turned up with world class athletes, many of whom had no prior awards/accolades etc. whatever Franno is doing at MVP is effective. Kudos to you Franno and your team, you are simply the best!!!

I agree with you 1000000% but Jamaica 🇯🇲 will never do it, Jamaicans are users look at bob Marley, they use him to promote tourism, Jamaica and reggae music around the world but the man isn’t even a national hero there’s nowhere named after him in Jamaica 🇯🇲 just a few bullshit statues ! But they named the last airport after a man who wrote A fictional books in Jamaica 🇯🇲 and his books had to be edited because it contained racist language!

@@Page1travelfitness one last statement on this as this is besides the point of the Video.. Being a Hero is much bigger than having one airport named after you... when Bob, himself transcended nations and race, as the paragon of musical genius with a legendary voice to pioneer a genre into Classic Art. There are so many different ways ambassadorial effects can be executed. Not just having an airport named after you... but you can ask the government how they do that selection process. And ask why.. #bless

Franno is a genius. I love to see his athletes shine. Tia and Kishane look absolutely amazing. I wish Brianna had gone to Franno BUT she shut up her biggest haters who said SHE (Brianna) wouldn't make it out of her heats and Sloley would be top 3. He is definitely creating some future stars with Tia and in time, with Krystal who despite not making the final, will definitely be one to watch in the future. Congratulations to Shericka for defending her national title, congratulations to Tia for second place and Shelly Ann who will travel to Paris for her 5th and final Olympics. That's something special to witness!!!

"touch of Bolt" might sound ridiculous BUT that explosiveness from Keshane at about 20m to 60m is some serious power. He walked up to Seville like Seville was a little yute. It LOOKED easy like how Bolt used to make things look easy. Keshane said he feels like he has a lot more left and was running a race where he was trying to not go all out and ran 9.77????? In the Olympic women's 100m finals from 1992-2020, 24 medals have been handed out. Jamaica has 15 of them. 15 medals out of 24. Just think about that for a moment. 1992 - 🥈 1996 - 🥈 2000 - 🥈🥉 2004 - 🥉 2008 - 🥇🥈🥈 2012 - 🥇🥉 2016 - 🥇🥉 2020 - 🥇🥈🥉 Juliet Cuthbert, Merlene Ottey, Veronica Campbell-Brown, Kerron Stewart, Sherone Simpson, Elaine Thompson-Herah, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Shericka Jackson. Jamaica has BEEN doing this for a very long time on the women's side. And now, hopefully, Tia Clayton is about to join the ranks.

Tia actually looked like Shelly in the Trials. That is, she got out of the blocks fast, accelerated fast, and got caught in the end, just like the old Shelly. I dunno…Tia looks absolutely amazing! Also, with Shericka, I wonder if they’re peaking her the same way Elaine peaked in 2021. I kept thinking to myself Shericka is due for a setback after all those years of insane growth, however I also know lots of people don’t completely peak when doing the trials. I am on the fence, and if Shericka slips, Gabby may get in there for an upset. Sounds delusional, but I need to see more from Shericka in the 200M today.

@stevie586 7 күн бұрын
@@razzalee305 you could be correct. The 10.8 either means she’s not fast this year, OR means she’s still loaded and will have a more powerful peak. I have kept saying her body is due for a decline after all those improvements, but we shall see how it all plays out. I still have her on the podium in both events.
@razzalee305
@razzalee305 7 күн бұрын
@@stevie586 not sure what you mean by loaded but im refering to the flight in her drive phase her knee are higher now. Maybe this is what is missing why she didnt get the world record, not saying she can do that this year, but maybe world champs.
@stevie586
@stevie586 6 күн бұрын
@@razzalee305 “loaded” is an actual expression we use in this sport, meaning they’re lifting heavy weights/training/etc., and is the condition in which you see folks before the effects of such has tapered off and allowed the athlete to “peak”. When folks say “peak” they’re referring to how fast a person can become AFTER lifting all those weights, training hard, and the muscles are no longer so heavy and fatigued. For example, don’t lift weights, get into a fight with a big person, and lose. Lift tons of weights, get big muscles, try to fight that person after you leave the gym, and you’ll still get beat up because your muscles are sore and tired (loaded). But, turn around and lift weights, get all the proper rest and let those fibers heal, then fight the person while you’re much stronger, and you win the fight (peaked). I hope my analogy makes sense to you. The knees can come up higher, etc., as one begins to peak, because while loaded, it’s hard to lift those “heavy” legs!

But for me after seeing bolt and now kishane i think if you want to be a champion i dont think how you are built matters. The sad thing is that depending which coach is coaching that athlete he or she may never train the athlete seriously because they have been judged as not built for success. Stevie586 i get the loaded, i dont see loaded though i saw fat, big difference, franno got help from overseas to get her to lose weight, and be in more competitive shape, she still has some speed but needs a lot of endurance work now along with her sharpening up to peak fitness. I think she will get there if the endurance part works out she will win the 200m, i dont know if shell be ready for a fit shakari going 100m. What i like is her final 40m technique is looking better , when that change becomes second nature she will be unstoppable. I really hope franno has enough time to complete her program in time for peak fitness for the olympics. A lot of work is ahead but i know both are up to it.

@MrMine123456789 Honestly..I thought about this that she may not get the same training as Shacarri and others due to the fact that she is Jamaican and a contender for that matter. Its better to train at home with MVP or any other club where she will feel at home and practise well.

@@MrMine123456789 If Alana was to move back too early it would set back some more… She should be graduating high school today but she left school really early, this is her trial and error year in the pro’s or ( transition year ). Alana is still eligible to run in this year U20 championship in Lema Perun in late August.. She should stay in that camp for another 2 year’s to see what happens..

Jamaica seems to be set for the next decade in Women's sprinting. The likes of the Clayton Twins, Lyston, Reid, among others for the 100M and 200M. Names like Nugent, Hill and Anderson for the hurdles and Price, among others for the 400M. Mens sprinting seems to be on the mend now too. Anything can happen, good or bad, but a Jamaican, I am very optimistic looking beyond #Paris2024.

Im an American. I take my words back about Stephen Francis. He done it again. This kishane Thompson is the next Usain Bolt. We Americans should be scared about this. Not this Olympics because Kishane will find a way to get injured this year before the Olympics, but he will be a threat in 2025. I'm happy for Tina. However, that should be Brianna Lyston representing Jamaica, not Tina.
