Earlier last week there were rumors swirling that he and his wife were getting a divorce, then came news that his talk show Steve was being replaced by the Kelly Clarkson show and now news that he is being replaced by Melissa McCartney as a host on Little Big Shots. Steve has taken this news the best way possible by saying that he is starting another chapter in life but one can only imagine, could this possibly be his karma for his fallout with Monique?

The year ain't over yet. If he is smart, he will learn the lesson before those are gone too. Just because you have a lot of money doesn't mean that this will always be the case. The love of money is the root of all evil. That means if you prioritize money over any and every thing else, then that is the foundation of all evil. Just like being in a capitalistic society where they put money over other people's lives and well being. No one would celebrate that, but because someone is a celebrity, they can encourage people to put making money over having and teaching their children integrity and people still applaud and support them, while wondering why we are still where we are as a people. Well, that's why.

Hell, Mo'Nique's claims of integrity are actually just about money when you think about it. Steve was telling her to have some grace/people skills.

@@ThePopMoss No, he did say that. But in a roundabout way. There was nothing in what he said having to do with Grace. One of her biggest issues is that they expected her to go out and actively promote the film, for free, for a handful of months. Now that's not just about money. Her big thing was how she was treated. That's just plain disrespectful. And on top of that, Oprah told her to go out and do it! Wow! I can see why that whole thing upset her. It's about how people treat you. And when they want you to go out and do something like that, without compensation for it, after you've fulfilled your contractual obligations.... They're telling you they think you're a piece of garbage. That's what she was upset about. Steve basically told her on air to suck it up and do what they want.

@@NGMonocrom Everything Steve said to her was helpful. Actors aren't paid to promote. You promote to create hype and as a result of that you get paid. Integrity in art is everything you do so your expression can be felt and heard through your work, and that includes accepting that compromise and delayed satisfaction/recognition/compensation is part of the deal. Mo'Nique is a talented actor who stunted her own expression because she refuses to see that she was wrong.

Going on a 3-month or so promotional tour, not just for free but having to pay all expenses involved out of your own pocket?? No actor does that. None! Expecting her to say "Yes," was beyond ridiculous and disrespectful.

Steve and Monique were BOTH correct. How it IS is what Steve said. How it SHOULD BE is what Monique said. Steve actually did agree with her behind closed doors AND in public. You can speak up but he said you can't flex the way you want to meaning the black way of doing things don't work with the people in power. In every environment you gotta learn the protocol.

Do you ever see steve listening to anyone on how to run his own tv show? No so if we spending government money that was created by white folks and under white folks rules and on their tv.. you think they gonna listen to us how they should run things?/ NO. Anything related to the white man and his business they are not going to change anything for us this is why they give us opportunities to run our own business and do what we want as long as were not attacking the white system they created for us all. Believe me when I say this that the government is scared of their own people because if wwe do not have any laws and rules to go by we'd be at each others throats and it would just not run smooth. If people cannot follow rules given to us and stay in our own lane how you think we'd act if there were no rules?

Steve definitely got that karma back. I guess that advice he was giving Monique about being complacent didn't work. Basically telling her to say "yes maam yes sir" because we're black and can't get any better.

Steve did it really well...the ONLY travesty from this would have been had he had such a long run and have nothing to show from it in the next years to come... BUT as a SMART black man in the industry I AM SURE he has his foundation SET really well... This was the blessing in his life to come... Don't get it twisted.

As a white person, I am only now becoming more aware of the struggles to the African American community. I was always aware they were chastised and treated differently, but I didn’t understand how integrated it is into American culture. I hope that moving forward the African American community can have the representation they deserve and need in pop culture as well as politics, etc.. I want everyone to feel accepted and equal because I don’t want a society in which people don’t feel they can be who they are because they will lose their livelihood.
