Wow this combo looks amazing. Love the gear driven centri's. Edit: Especially with that bellmouth.

Video a while back, BBC big bore, "really short stroke" your words. Was wondering about bore and stroke on that one. #'s went from bottom left, straight to top right corner. Amazing... Would fit my application, but unsure what stroke and bore to work off from 🤔 could you plz elaborate...

Is there any way to make a procharger build more Torque? And thank you for your help

I see you still love Pro Chargers? Can you explain why Procharger doesn’t make Torque like a TURBO? And also heard pro Charger distroy crank snouts ?
@danmyers93723 жыл бұрын
@slyr1 - Centrifugal blowers don’t make as much torque because the impeller RPM on a centrifugal is directly proportional to crank rpm. Hence at lower rpms it doesn’t make much boost compared to a turbo which relies on exhaust pressure. “Districts crank snouts”? Did you mean to type breaks crank snouts? If so that is an old wives tale put out by Prochargers competitors. I have never seen a crank snout breaking off due to use of a Procharger. Also, you see lots of Prochargers at the drag strip, some used on cars all the way up to Promods and RVW cars. Racers wouldn’t use them if they broke crank snouts. Go to a race track and see how many Paxton/Novi or Virtech blowers you see.

TKM Performance out of N.C. built a 427cid hydraulic roller LSX-R (Dart Aluminum) 6bolt block that made 2500+hp in the car on a hub dyno through a 2 speed powerglide with off the shelf parts and a single 98mm turbo

I had to laugh when Steve said he couldn’t show the numbers. Viewers on this channel are very good at estimating power if his builds. And then Steve shows the chart... Let’s see, three horizontal lines on the graph and power is just above line 3. I think Steve showed this knowing most of us would guess the horizontal lined were in 1000 hp increments. Hence HP just over 3000.

@@jpabon18 with 500 unit steps, it would be around 1000 ft/lb torque and 1500+ HP as HP still rises at the end of the graph

@Jeffrey Paton - No way that combo only makes 1500 HP.

I just don't like or trust drive by wire especially on something like that! I wouldn't even want a cable on that I would have a solid linkage setup so the throttle does exactly when I want it to!!
@woodgrain183 жыл бұрын
@Jeff Kopis thats awful but im not talking about a regular linkage, im talkin about a solid setup with two pieces one on the petal the other coming of the throttle body or carb connecting and attaching under the dash with it has to have some type or linkage thats kind how mine is setup
@badass6.0powerstroke103 жыл бұрын
I would prefer a spring loaded cable, like most original equipment stuff. Just like on my 86 Mustang, just got one for a Carburetated 85 Mustang, works fine on my BBF 86 LX.
@woodgrain183 жыл бұрын
@@badass6.0powerstroke10 mine has a pretty heavy spring and the top of my petal has a little L shaped piece of metal that I can pull back on with the end of my foot. Ive had my throttle hang before and it took me longer than id like to admit to kill the power my car ain't super fast it but it goes 5.30's but when you're going 130 mph in the 1/8 everything happens pretty quick and the one time it happened I panicked it happened two years ago two days before my 27th birthday

Maybe some pulley iddlers for the oil and fuel pumps, I'm not an expert but belts wabling is not a good idea, you have the structure in place, just add the iddler pulley if there is no compromise in structural strength of the front assembly bracket.

Dont say people's names when they dont want you to release the specs on *your* engine. If you didnt say Don Vito's name, you could have said whatever you wanted. I mean, who the hell is Dan Vinkers anyway?

Trust me us racers know racers and when you see Steve's engine sitting in a car that's been on here you know. That is why he says name no numbers.
