I wanted to make a biryani but I was using good quality prawns so didn't want them steaming away for 20 minutes and overlooking them. I opted for a much better idea and went for a delicious Prawn Pilau that really satisfied my hununger craving.

basmati rice 2 cups (washed & soaked 30 minutes)
Yakni Pilau Seasoning 1/2 pack (I added a whole sachet but some of the rice was used for other purposes, multi-tasking lol)
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
onions 1 large
chilli flakes 1 tsp
ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
King Prawns 30ish
fresh coriander 1/4 bunch
pre-fried onions handful
peas 1/3 cup
carrot 1
Celery a handful
fresh chopped garlic 4 cloves
kewra water a splash
pasatta 4 tbsp
tamarind sauce 1 tbsp
