That van driver would be in so much shit with the law in many countries a driving ban would be practically automatic as well as a huge fine or a great many hours of community service.

the guy almost broke the other's ankle, then continued driving into a person in front of him, all while trying to drive onto a sidewalk. I think he would be in prison if this were America, but the defense may try a "self-defense" claim, which could nullify hitting the pedestrians.

Yes, in my country this offence would immideately be moved from a traffic offence to a Criminal case because the driver was endangering people's life. Depending on previous convictions he would probably get jail time and the license would be suspended for atleast 3 years in any case.

In that situation, you would be legally able to use a firearm here. It's classified as an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Not only that, he basically committed hit and run. Yeah, the driver would be either dead or rot in jail for a long time. The prosecution would make of him an exemplary case especially because it happened on a sidewalk.

Lettuce, more than that, it was attempted murder. How else can you view trying to mow down two pedestrians on a pavement, then, when luckily they didn't go under the van to get splattered, they held on for dear life as he sped down the road? 8 days a week, that's attempted murder.

@@zombona890 Maybe, but I just don't see that holding up in court (at least here in the UK). Most likely avenue of prosecution here would be dangerous driving paired with common assault. Their only saving grace is that no one appears to have been injured otherwise they would be spending at least a year in prison.

I love the way these guys talk to people in a calm and polite manner especially the tall guy who gets right to the point. Watching this from another country I can't believe the attitude from some of these drivers and hope it isn't a Russian thing. But how people go around thinking that it's ok for them to break a law and some of their petty excuses they throw around is hilarious, then you get the tough guys that get shown up and run away!!

Great job :D In the future, when somebody pushes at you, just hold him back with the backside of one of your hands. Tell them if they keep coming near you, you will defend yourselves. If he keeps coming, push him back with both hands. Don't take bullying from nobody. You have a camera that shows you did not hit/injure anyone. Finally, I saw you guys do the right thing. If a driver hits you with a car and you have a chance you either remove him from the car or if he left the car you pull the keys and keep them for the officer so he doesn't leave.
