you should really re-upload this without the music, or lower the music so you can barely hear it when you talk. With it now, it's hard to follow the instructions. Thanks for posting this up though!

I would if I still had the footage, sorry. If you need help with anything let me know.

Thanks for making this! I already knew how to pull an axle, but watching you do it gave me motivation to go fix mine haha. I really like your STI btw. Super clean which is not common these days!

I gotta say I've used a few of your videos for reference points and they've been extremely helpful! This is today's project (that and replacing the washers/de-filtering the banjo behind the block to deal with a leak) so I can replace the seals. Thank you again for the videos!

Great video, thanks. I have a question, please. We're putting coilovers on a 2003 WRX. We pulled out the old ones and mistakenly let the control arm drop. It pulled the axel out of the transmission on the passenger side. We can't seem to get it back in. We tried putting it in neutral and jiggling it around. We tried putting it in gear and rotating the other wheel and trying to jiggle it in. Nothing. We can get it so that we can spin the passenger side wheel and get the driver side wheel to turn, but it's not going into the slot. Any ideas how we can solve this? Thanks.

Do you use aftermarket or OEM axles? Any particular brand you trust more?

On earlier Subarus you can take loosen the ball joint and take it apart and you don't need to remove the hub from the shock. Looks the same here.

Is this a factory STI? Or a WRX with swap parts? I have axles that look like yours that came with my swap and I can't tell if they are WRX axles or if they are STI axles 🤔

Did you remove the stub shaft? or is that unnecessary?

The video is great. Need a little editing help. Quieter music would be grand. Additionally, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't tell people to over torque their lug nuts. This is how you put undue stress on studs and when studs fail the wheel comes flying off at speed. Torque to spec. There's zero reason to over-tighten lug nuts. Especially since a lot of tuners us aluminum or alloy lug nuts. TIGHTEN TO SPEC!!!!!!

100 ft/lbs likely is fine, seeing for years without a torque wrench i put mine on to prettu damn tight, and then when i used my new torque wrench, i found i probably torqued them down to around 150-200ft/lbs on my wrx. I used a breaker bar to put them on again and im by no means a weak man. My car specifically it calls for 65ft/lbs, to my understanding anything over 70 is pointless they wont come loose, but i always torque mine now to 85ft/lbs incase maybe the wrench is off, or anything else. I forget which car specifically but it was a German car with aluminum nuts, the torque spec was like 97.3 or some crazy specific number in the high 90s
