Power was the main reason why I went with the wrx. Gt86/Brz was what I wanted had it had just enough power.

I had a vette and a Nissan z both were faster but not as fun to drive. The frs brings a smile to my face and is inspiring.

A stage 1 tune will help a lot for the wrx. That will let it build up more boost and wake up the engine where it dies off now

18 wrx has over 100k miles never had an engine issue. Only issue has been AC and of course the speakers are terrible lol but very reliable imo plus hold there value pretty well

My 2021 pure red WRX with factory short throw shifter is due to land in port this week. I did a double take when I saw your video. Here in rural Maine Covid has really effected car inventories so I ordered mine. The salesman told me 8-12 weeks. It’s been 8 and by the time it gets processed through the system it will have been around 10. An STI is my bucket list car. My plan is to run the WRX for a few years until the new gen STI has been out a year. Then I will order one of those with the supposed 400hp.

frs/brz/86 is better in my opinion just because its way easier to customize [more parts options interior and exterior] i feel that its the new definition of tuner

E60 tune wakes the wrx up. I drive my Honda as my daily so on the weekends when I pull my wrx out it feels great.

I picked up a 2021 Subaru Levorg STI EX in April and love it, however there aren’t very many things I can do to it right now as it’s the newest model, so I’m thinking to get a new BRZ for my project car and keep the Levorg as my daily. I’m waiting to see what the new WRX STI will before I hit to go button though. Dope video! Very valid comparisons!!

I wanted a brz/frs/86 really bad but we had to move to Wisconsin so I got a wrx, I do struggle with trying to make the wrx look sporty as I feel like most ppl see it as regular traffic but with a brz some people literally mistake it for a Porsche or something lol

i have to agree about the cons you stated with the wrx. i have an 18 wrx and its very modded. i have the shifter fully modded and its completely different. as far as the motors blowing. probably user error combined with the awful stock tune. i have mine dyno tuned and it makes a world of difference.

Need an AOS system as one of your first mods. These cars are notorious for oil issues so an AOS will be very good. I recommend killerbee aos.

Is it sort of difficult to put the car in first and second? All my other gears are pretty smooth but it’s always more notchier and harder to put in 1st gear and go up to 2nd.

I have a Subaru brz and I think I want to switch to a 400z but I'm not 100%. If I do switch to a 400z ill definitely always like the way my brz drives but i want a higher hp car.

It was Wrx for me, my area can see quite a bit of snow in the winter and it’s my daily. Also stock to stock WRX is much faster.

Have a 2006 miata (basically an frs) and a 2017 wrx. Love both for different reasons, both cars handle amazingly well but the WRX has so much damn grip its scary lol. Have thrown it into corners going stupid fast and not even hear the tires chirp
