These triangular/wedge-shaped scones are so delicious. The subtle lemon flavour in the scone goes so well with the juicy sultanas. A lovely light snack to accompany a cup of tea.

These look really good GEOFF.. It nice to have an easy shape..anythiing with sultanas Neil loves,,,,, so I will actually make some for tea today,,,, .i think some. Nice butter on them would be good 👌💕sick of the rain so a bit of baking will cheer me up 😘

Hi Henrietta. It is difficult to think of anything easier than a nice British style scone. But I think these actually are easier. I hope you enjoy your tea. Not a lot of rain here, thankfully.

Just like alot of nice tasty treats the best are hot right out of your own oven especially if you know what you are doing in that kitchen... and we all know you know what you are doing! These scones are wonderful! I made them and they are a keeper!Thank you Geoff... Yes I do enjoy the hint of lemon especially!

Dr Google informs me that the American's might just call these biscuits. Isn't it marvellous that despite the name they are always delicious. Well done Geoff

Hi Jeff. Biscuits, in the USA are similar to scones but they are not usually this shape. "biscuit" is used for a soft, leavened quick bread similar to a less sweet version of a scone.

Hi Geoff, that's a very different recipe to our UK scones isn't it? I need to give this a try! I like your tip of rubbing the zest in with the sugar, I've seen you do this many times before and it's definitely something I'll do now too 👍 What is your tiny whisk called please Geoff and where would I buy one? 😊

Hi Caz. Yes it's different to the shape we are used to. The whisk is part of a two piece set for dipping things in chocolate. The other part is a fork. The one I bought is not available now I see. But if you search for 'chocolate dipping set' or candy dipping set you will see some that are similar. I got mine on amazon.
