Vaylin possibly wasn't a romance option because there isn't any difference between her and Dark Jaesa (who you've known far longer).

She isn't a romance option because her character wouldn't want to be. Vaylin generally finds romantic relationships to be "pathetic" (her own words) and a waste of time. This is the main thing separating Vaylin and dark Jaesa. While they are both dark sided and insane, Jaesa enjoys carnal pleasures while Vaylin couldn't care less about them.

The fact that they are so similar is the exact reason why their relationship would never work out. They don't feel guilt, empathy or remorse. All they desire is power. They Both want the Eternal throne and that makes them enemies.

Ummm are you just talking about the eternal throne chapter or swtor as a whole because if your talking about swtor as a whole i would give the saddest character to Revan don't get me wrong Vaylin is a close second but Revan literally gave up the woman he loved and the son he never met to try and stop Vitiate but failed due to being betrayed and watching perhaps his bests friend at the time die in front of him then he's held prisoner for 300 hundred years straight being tortured over and over again then after being freed he tries to help the galaxy but due to being weakened he was defeated by an imperial strike team then his rage for everything Vitiate did to him caused him to will himself back to life and let me repeat that for you HE LITERALLY WILLED HIMSELF BACK TO LIFE! Only then to get beat by a bunch of jedi and sith due to having his light half heal them ove and over again and THEN is forced to remain in the living as a ghost until Vitiate is defeated like for at least 14 years as he said in echis of oblivion 'as long as his spirit remains so does mine and can't see the love of his life for that long sooo...yeah I'd say that's a pretty solid case if i do say so myself but hey thats just my opinion.

I'd say Thexan got it the worst. He was the strongest of the twins, and Valkorion had his eyes on him at first. Tho just like arcann he gave him a hard life, he was favoritising him, hoping to make arcann jealous to developp the underdog son. But Thexan, instead of believing he was special, better, he never gave up on his siblings and always shared what he had with Arcann. And what did he get for being an outstanding human being ? His Father turned his brother against him by pushing Arcann's jealousy and hate for Valkorion himself. He knew what would happen in that throne room. He sacrificed his best son to make a better one in his eyes, detached from the last thing keeping him sane, his brother Thexan. Malgus also got it bad.

@Noxious Because she was perhaps Valkorion's greatest victim, more so than Arcann. Before Valkorion completely twisted her and locked her power. She was a child only beginning to understand her power and the consequences it brought. She could've been saved, but Valkorion only thought about himself. Also, Senya abandoning her to the cruelty of her father was also what destroyed her.

@@maxkogan3785 Didn't help that Arcann wasn't really there for her. He seems to disregard her until she's mad/annoyed enough to turn whatever building there in inside-out. Thexan seemed to be the only thing that was consistently positive in her life. Treating her like a person/family instead of a monster to be feared and a weapon to be used.

To be honest vaylin was beyond redemption throughout the game. She let her own anger and hatred consumed her.

Maxine Universe we have differences in opinion. The devs actually said (as did xLetalis) Vaylin was never meant to be a redeemable character, like Arcann was. Her and Valkorian were true villains of KoTFE and KoTET.

Can you link that? Because if that's true and they put in all of the evidence of her abuse to show just how irredeemable she is, I need to cancel my subscription.

I asked if you could provide a link so that I could find out exactly what they said, because I'd like to see some of their specific discussion on this specific subject, and I can't find it. Most of their decisions in presenting this "irredeemable" character were for crap, and I'd like to see the thinking behind them. I'm sorry I didn't make that clear: this story was garbage, overall, including every member of this family, and if some of the things that I've heard about their decision making process prove true, they don't need my money.

Honestly, I didn't care for redeeming Arcann. But he got his redemption. That should have remained on Senya's side of the fence though. I felt like Vaylin was the obvious choice for your character to focus on (especially a Jedi or Sith Warrior). Both having seen some horrible crap, and gone through it, from the hands of Vitiate/Valkorion. In truth, that entire family suffered. But that girl was really tormented. The brother that truly loved her was killed by her other brother whom she feels betrayed her (and probably never really enjoyed being in the same room as her and her flippant attitude), her mother who she felt that abandoned her, and her father that mentally crippled her and blocked her powers off from her. Let's not forget that she was tortured as well. If they didn't want to fully redeem her, fine. But she was killed like she was a rabid dog.

For example a companion based strictly on your full light or full dark side status. I’m just thinking long term. Feels like there really isn’t long lasting lore like Wow. @@markdias5636 Good point. That's why I haven't been playing WoW and SWtoR (especially). I just don't feel as engaged anymore. And SWtoR has gotten so bland and choices stopped mattering, even in the short term.
