In Norway we have a unique word and concept that makes all Norwegians smile: SYDEN. YOURWAY2NORWAY produly presents a concept associated with vacation and leisure. Translated, it means the South. It's not a special country or place. It can be; Egypt, Turkey, Gran Canarias, Portugal, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Gambia or Thailand. To make it Syden it needs a beach, a beach chair and an umbrella drink. It also must be cheap, warm and sunny.
But Syden it’s also a state of mind for us Norwegians. It makes us happy, cheerful and excited. But it also makes us rude, cruel and disgusting towards other cultures and people. Syden makes us alcoholics and chain smokers - and it makes us sing and dance all day long.
This video is a thorough introduction to one of the most important cultural aspects of Norwegians. If you want to understand Norwegians longings, dreams and behavior, you must watch this video.
Obviously, we exaggerate a little. But the roles that Ronald plays in this funny video has a hint of truth in it. Fortunately, and unfortunately.
This video was shot in Portugal, Algarve Coast, Praia do Barril. So a big shout out to Luis Conceição and all the others we meet in the video. Lol it's kinda funny! Some of my fellow Filipinos when they go to colder countries in the world brag about how low the air temperatures of the places they're in. As a Filipino I got ecstatic when I experienced 3 degrees for the first time in a mountainous area here in the Philippines. For us here, the 37-degree April summer is just too much. I'm guessing though that this is a case of grass being greener on the other side.

I bumped into this channel became I watch a Norwegian KZfaqr who travels the world an vlogs, now so many times people have asked him to please go to Norway an vlog an he said he never will step foot in Norway again, so that got me thinking that it can't be all that bad...I looked up Norway on KZfaq an you guys were the first to pop up, this was yesterday morning an I haven't stopped watching this channel.
