Even on the rewatch, just seeing T-1000 mentally process "big guy on a bike", like he immediately knows that's a T-800. The T-1000 is also way more advanced in that when it wants to, it can show a lot of social etiquette and act really human, not "such a dork all the time".

I've never been able to decide if the T-1000 knew the 'big guy on a bike also looking for John' was another Terminator or not. He could have reasoned the resistance might have sent another human back, or that John (being a delinquent) could have made some criminal friends/enemies.

Fun fact. That bike is an XR100 4 stroke, but they use a 2 stroke sound throughout the movie cuz you know….. 2 strokes are bad ass

Notice that when T-1000 sits down, the creator put the CG spilled cement to hide Patrick's balls which we can see in the original released. Brilliant!!

What's interesting is that the director makes it ambiguous as to whether or not the T-1000 is good or bad at the start. When he kills the nitrogen truck driver, he stabs right through. But here it looks like he just gut punched him or something. And he looks skinny like Kyle Reese.

Yeah, I like that. I can't remember a time when I wasn't aware that Arnie was the good guy in this one, but until the fight at the Galleria starts you're not supposed to know who the bad guy is. Wish I could forget the whole thing and watch this again for the first time.

1:50 Not sure if those details are accurate? If John was born in 1985 and this movie came out in 1991, wouldn't that make John six years old? If the screen said he was ten, wouldn't that mean this movie came out in 1995?

Interestingly, the events portrayed in movies can actually take place in years other than the one they came out in. Seriously though, the movie seems to be set in 1994, meaning John should be 9, not 10. The T-800 tells John that "35 years from now," presumably meaning 2029, he is reprogrammed and sent back. It could be 1995, but that doesn't fit with him later saying that it takes three years after Miles invents the "revolutionary new type of microprocessor" for Cyberdyne to become the largest supplier of military computer systems, after which stealth bombers fly with "a perfect operational record," leading to the Skynet funding bill being passed in 1997, which would place this setting no later than 1994. So perhaps it's just a screw up in the script, but it's definitely not meant to be set in the year it came out in. 1991 is much too early on all counts.
