Toyota 4Runner How to install and route plug and play amp harness system

This video is part of a complete audio upgrade in a 2010-2016 Toyota 4Runner. In this video SERIES we are adding our plug and play amplifiers to the stock Toyota head unit (stereo), upgrading the front and rear door speakers and adding a dual 10” downfire ported subwoofer box.
In this video we will show you how to install and route the plug and play harness system that will connect to our plug and play amplifiers.
We will be mounting the plug and play amps under the driver side seat. Using our plug and play harnesses along with our plug and play amplifiers, we will take this stock vehicle system and boost the power from 18 watts to 70 watts RMS to each speaker. In addition, we will be adding a downfire subwoofer box loaded with two 10” subwoofers.

Does this kit include the Amp turn on remote wire? If not, which wire should I tap?

I noticed you hid the power wire and harness together. Aren’t they suppose to be on opposite sides because of noise?

no, thats a common misconception.

Thanks for the reply. It is the same for RCA cables too? They are fine next to the power cable?

That hasn't been my experience. I've heard multiple setups with alternator whine when the signal and power cables are run side by side.

I wouldn’t do it with low-level “RCA” connections, but I believe these are high-level speaker wire in the harness so probably ok.

This is a great video of what NOT to do. The fact he didn't wrap the wires at all and just sent them through everything unprotected and basically spaghetti mess is super unprofessional. This is extremely poor quality installation.

I completely agree, speedwire would’ve been so much cleaner and more protected.
