Very common problem on 3.7 , 4.7 and 5.7 the valve seats are made out of powdered metal. Daimler Chrysler never admitted to a factory defective. Word to the wise you want to replace all the valve seats to avoid future headaches

V8, V12, V24 ,But V6 NA My nephew Just through a Rod Lifter what ever Through his valve cover Broke The Engine Cast Where lifter, Rod, what ever was located Now We are going Crate My personal Favorite !~!~!~!~ Same V6 3.7L for His 2005 Ram Truck 1500 Extra Cab I would love to put a V8 back in 5.9 Like i Put in My Two1500 Dodge Trucks 99, 2 wheel DR and my 97, 4x4 Extra Cab

Far from the truth, they only experience those issues if you let them, if you keep track on oil and coolant you’ll be just fine, they use them from the 90s to early 2010s, they have over 2 million produced, I’m sorry but you have no clue what you’re talking about

I have had no issues in my jeep with the 3.7. Same moter and I have 174000 miles.
