Taking back England and Wales water. Scotland has always had the understanding that access to clean water is a right not a commodity, therefore it’s free and clean.

140 years ago Joseph Chamberlain (a Tory) argued for the public ownership of the water industry saying "It is difficult, if not impossible to combine the citizens' rights and interests and the private enterprise's interests, because the private enterprise aims at its natural and justified objective, the biggest possible profit." Well, 40 odd years of privatisation have proved him right. It's blatantly obvious that the water industry should be the first of Thatcher's/Major's privatisation projects to be renationalised, and Labour's attitude is shameful. You're right - where there's a will, there's a way - and with determination and imagination the change could be made pretty swiftly. And this is one measure that would be universally popular, except with the mainly foreign owners of the water companies, but frankly they've exploited and cheated us for long enough.

‘Fine them 100% of market value’…so not only do we get our water industry back but we get to see all those who have profited for so long at the expense of our water quality squeal with anguish! Win-win 😂

What did you expect, there is a symbiotic relationship between businesses who make huge profits and the Tories who get financial sweeteners from them for their help.
