Love the V10 chalk! My shaft and hands are much cleaner, but more importantly, it leaves far less marks on the cueball. This way, there’s less chance of kick/cling from the chalk smudge throwing the balls more. Instead of transferring to the cueball, it either stays on the tip, or flakes of at impact, keeping your shaft and cueball cleaner. This essentially means more consistency, which really does effect the game. No other chalks really do that well. I think “chalk tests” where each brand is tested on how long the chalk stays on the tip really comes down to a few things. If the shaft has rotated at all since the last hit- you get fresh chalk (cause it it’s the side of the tip, not head on). The stroke and tip placement of the tester must be perfect. The type, brand, and wear of the tip matters too. And this also assumes you want chalk to last that long. I’m not sure it should be a selling point for chalk to last that long before “miscuing” anyway…It lends itself towards not having a stable pre-shot routine.

Nice review. To add on a little more. Chalks like Predator, Masters,Blue Diamond and a few others really tend to mark up the cue ball which can cause "Cling". I have yet to try the Kamui Roku or Taoms offering. I am a bit hesitant because I heard these chalks tend to be "creamy". I prefer a "gritty "chalk and have really enjoyed the Russian Magic Chalk. Its fairly clean and has a good price point. Great video! Thanks again!

The V10 is just excellent chalk to play with and it's not messy at all. That's why it is worth it's $$$. Most chalks of the same price are generally very messy and greasy. The V10 I can layer onto the tip like a normal playing chalk (Masters, Diamond, Magic) but also it stays on the tip longer than those cheaper chalks do and stays off the table as well. When playing with Kamui of the same price/caliber I feel like I am playing with blue makeup that marks up the table very easily although it does provide exceptional grip on the cue ball it comes with a price.

I used this chalk for fun, it came in new with the jim rempe training ball. Can’t see chalk mark at all on the training ball 😂 it’s very clean and grippy. Re chalk about every 10-15 shots but I wasn’t really counting, just focus on strokes and other things

@@TheColemark How do you conclude that, out of what statement of mine? I clearly mentioned everyone can enjoy whatever chalk one wants to play with. Even switch between them if one likes. You rather narrowed it down to mention you like the Master chalk (maybe only). Which could led to the conclusion, that you are not very flexible when it comes to change. Either way, I am not here to argue, I will keep trying out different Pool equipment, and eventually swap chalk, cue, table, whatever. Consistently adapting and learning is key in Pool I think.

The V10 is cleaner than the pyro. Pyro is more "chalky' in texture where the V10 is creamier consistency. Both are clean but the V10 is cleaner. Go V10

@@pocketedyoutube no worries I should elaborate that the Pyro is drier than the V10. Due to how creamy the V10 is it can be easier to overchalk. It is easier to apply however. Since the Pyro is drier it will not cling as good and if you do some deep screw shots with a white piece of paper under where the cue ball is you can see flakes of Pyro being broken off from the cue tip. It's still really clean compared to others but the V10 is def cleaner. Some will not like the green color on blue cloth but it's pretty rare for it to show up at all and comes up pretty easy. It is by far the most cleanly chalk I have ever used. I went from vacuuming once a week to every three. My cloth just never feels gritty anymore and the cue ball stays very clean.

This is very superficial. You have concentrated on only ONE aspect of the chalk - why? Snooker professionals now use Taom chalk but not particularly because of what you have shown in this video. In fact many of the commenters here have given a better idea why snooker pros use it. Another reason is that pro snooker players hate getting what they call 'kicks' and also different rebounds from the cushion. They say Taom chalk cures these problems.

Hi there! Absolutely true and agree, you can also play to the highest standards (by the way, big Earl and Efren fan here). You do not have to buy the chalk, nor do you have to use it at all. The video was made with the intention, to express my views on this topic. Just don‘t understand what I did to deserve to be called „sucker“ and to be insulted for no reason. I have never insulted anyone on social media, nor do I ever intend to do so. I apologize if I have said or done anything to insult you. But being called a sucker for putting out content for you folks out there to maybe help you in your decision in what chalk to use (and if it means to use/stick with Master chalk, thats also fine), is not ok.
