This is a compilation of my 3 parasite eve reviews. If you see the individual versions you won't miss anything if you don't watch this one. There's nothing extra here. In fact there's slightly less content than before, but I promise I didn't cut anything important. Only what was necessary to Frakenstein the pieces together as I never intended to make this a compilation when I started. After examining how my Fatal Frame compilation done compared to the individual uploads it seems there's a market for this so here we are!
Parasite Eve is undoubtedly one of the strangest and most unique trilogies out there. With very little beyond Aya Brea, the mitochondria, and some light RPG and horror themes to tie all the games together it seems to suffer a bit of an identity crisis. But does this result in bad games or a bad series? Well, here's my take on each game.

It was awesome still is. I was blown away by the same things. I was also blown away by the science that was real. People where still debating mitochondria and metabolism and related things that this game touched on. The music was one of the things that hooked me on this game. Any game that hooks me on Music is always going to get a 10 from me. This one no exception. I like the gameplay, despite it being easy.

About PE1, if you turn off your analog, you can use your dpad but still can use your analog. Thats if I not mistaken...

I tried this actually and got nothing, but I was playing through my PS3 so maybe it's an issue with that.

Even with it's endearing flaws, this is a great series. The Chrysler Building NG+ kept me up for a few nights 😀😀

Bree? This really caught me off guard since I didn't even considered it. Like I've been pronouncing Brea as Bray-ah since its initial release.

Bray-ah is correct. Especially given the game came from Japan. It was just a weird thing for me to grapple with at the time considering she's a new Yorker and I didn't really see any reason to read her name through a Japanese lens at the time.

You know, i never had a problem with the combat in the 2nd game to drag it down on me. when i saw things out of sight, the autoaim helped, and i think i just used more AOE spells than this guy did that made it more fun for me apparently.

I really really don't like 3rd Birthday because of what they did and now I can add the tag "perving on a child in an adult's body" to the list.

Andrew it is. I didn't hear her name until 3rd birthday so it was all guesswork until I played that one.

I still love the first Parasite Eve, i play it every other Xmas season as I still have fun with it. I don't like the second game, thats all I have to say. I feel hatred towards the last game in the series 3rd Birthday. Why do i feel this hatred? Because we didn't even get to play as Aya Brea, we played as her younger sister. Oh wanna know something that will absolutely creep you out about 3rd Birthday? Eve Brea's official age in the timeline is 12 years old in addition to that she ages to be 16 in Aya's body. Meaning that Square-Enix had to write the story to make her LEGAL for fan service, oh and thats not all people the worst part of all of this is there is a secret Shower Scene as a reward for completing the hardest difficulty the game has to offer. So not only is this game insulting to fans of the Original Aya Brea it also knew that the only way to make Eve appealing was the make her a Fan Service game character... a 16 year old Fan service game character. And to top it all off the reason why the game is called 3rd Birthday, besides the fact that Square-Enix lost the publishing rights to the title Parasite Eve to the books author is because Canonically Eve is 3 YEARS OLD in Aya's body when the game officially starts and in the secret ending of the video game she officially turns 4 years old in Aya's body... I hate this game so much. The game play was ok at times aside from the terrible camera, if this was on vita the gameplay would be much better with two analog sticks one for camera control. The music is ok and the characters are Meh at best. But this by far has the WORST story in the series essentially & LITERALLY killing any chance for a continuation for Aya in future games.

Awesome vid dude, continue the good work, dont take what i say next to heart, i love your content 10:03 i respect your opinion, but i totally disagree, i love this battle theme and i think it fits well parasite eve one is a 9/10 parasite eve two is a 7/10 parasite eve 3rd birthday doesn´t exist

To be fair the PSP only has one analog stick there's not much they can do about the camera.

Love this series. Still have the poster for the 1st game (my favorite) on my game room wall, the poster that came inside the Brady Games walkthrough guide that was packed with my Electronics Boutique pre-order (pre-Gamestop days). When it comes to scoring these games, I simply give Parasite Eve two thumbs up, Parasite Eve 2 one thumb up, and lastly, the 3rd Birthday gets one thumb down, as the 3rd one disappointed me as a Parasite Eve game. Would've been better as its own IP, IMO.

In the firts game I got tired of the rpg style combat and just rushed all the easier targets. It is still a awesome game, but the combat can get stale.
