Tarp and Bivy on a Northumberland Hillside

I head to the Northumberland hills, to firstly check out a previous spot, so I can see it in good weather, I then find a ledge on a hillside for my Tarp and Bivy,
Found a great spot, attacked by midges on the evening,
Join me for the camp

Magical place you found there Adrian and at least it was midges and not the duergar which bothered you. That rock overhand looked fantastic 👌

The rock you camped under was stunning. Its amazing what the weather can do. Have to confess to being a bit envious of you lucky people close to the Cheviots. Thanks for a sharing your adventures

Simonside crags is a cracking place to walk and camp you found some canny spots for future camp's im not out for 2 weeks but im looking forward to a hill camp atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍

Every time I watch your channel I think to myself I need to be bit more flexible adaptable and use the (goretex) bivvie bag. But I come back to a tent - currently the Lightwave trek zr0. Oh well. Keep doing it enjoy... thx. JMO.

Hi and thanks for watching, a regular, I will be in the gortex bivy soon as the weather gets damper,I may even be in a tent !! If it’s wet on the way in, I prefer setting up with a tent, I don’t care after I set a tarp up, if it rains or not. Cheers Adrian

Beautiful scenery ☺️ just make sure there's no Black panthers or mountain lions out that way like Darkmoor as there's been a mass increase in there numbers ' hopefully you find a good little spot ' Specially a cave crevice somewhere with a good view

best things in life are free mate👌done plenty of walking on simonside but never camped as could never find a decent pitch.but the bivvy sorts that problem 👍

@@thegeordiefellwalker8878 yes that’s all you need, if it’s raining on the walk in use a tent !!! Save the bivy for dry walks, but once it’s up it does not matter if it rains, like on my coastal bivy a month ago Cheers

Hi friend how ur weekend 🤔👋 super wound up by job 2day as a crowd safety officer proper dicks 2 deal with and d journey home was super shite maybe I drink 2 much wine 🍸 and wine is my way of calmer down as I can't have a splif no more and d tube driver behaved like a twat in control in everybody but watching ur video small base camp and wild pine 🎍 videos chilled me out my mind is like d old 60s sci Fi series prisoner camping is my freedom if I kept no pets might not bova with my yard

Another good camp Adrian, do you mark the new possible bivi camps on the map for future reference ? Yes all work and no play is no good , so a few cheeky camps will do the job nicely ⛺️👍

What are your tactics for ticks, using your bivvy/tarp setups

Hi and thanks for watching, I use permethrin spray on my rucksack,bivy and sleeping bag Other than that just be aware I have only had one bad case this year with multiple ticks, I sometimes see one on my legs and brush it off Cheers

Nice bit of alone time for you with Mother Earth. I do apologize to you if you’ve answered this question before and I missed it but have you always liked to camp/bivy since you were a young lad like your son’s age?
