Mine was great at first, However, After 2 years, Issues developed with light strikes and the slide not fully returning to battery after rounds are fired. it's been back to Taurus TWO times and it's becoming a hassle and a headache at this point with a detailed letter and a thumb drive of recorded video of the issue happing at the range. Taurus changed the barrel and striker assembly and send it back saying it was tested and is working. Well, The First round proved that to be untrue, the issue was still there. and this was the case both times it was sent back and returned. I've also tried all the upgrades KZfaqrs say will Fix the problem, Stainless Steel Guide Rod and Striker Sleeve, Glock 5lb Striker Spring, Polishing the Slide Rails and nothing has worked. The S&W M&P in my opinion for $150 extra is the better option for this class of self defense carry Sorry for the rant, But this was my experience with My TORO G3C. Remember you get what you pay for.

These are awesome guns basically a cheap Glock with not as good coating i own the full size G3 and the only problem i could see people running into is you can't ride that slide home you have to slingshot it (pull back until end of travel and let go) it will jam if you try riding it home or keeping your hand on slide when chambering but you're not supposed to do that anyway but ive seen alot of new shooters or not sure of them selves try to ride the slide and think it's a problem with the gun when it jams some you can ride the slide like my shield plus you can ride the slide on it but the G3c it's a great first firearm or edc

FACTS! I have to tell people this all the time! That's why they say Hollows Jan their not shooting them they load them & when chambering ride the slide home! #dressed2kill ❤

That’s not quite accurate. I have a G3, a few Glocks including the G19 and a few other duty guns. The build quality of the Taurus is not quite as good as any of them. Mine has to been to warranty twice. Once for jams on HP ammo, Taurus replaced the barrel, but it kept doing the same thing. The ramp meets base plate design is not ideal for certain brand of HP ammo. I found that the gun does cycle Sig’s Elite defense properly, but has issues with Federal ammo. Beyond that, I had a critical failure shooting +P ammo, and that was the second trip to the warranty. I shoot that same ammo on my Glock 19, and P320, with no issues. I will say this, their warranty department is great, and with in two weeks you get the gun back. I wouldn’t a call it a cheap Glock, the Glock is of much higher build quality, but if you are in pinch, it is a gun that can work until you can buy something better (such as the aforementioned Glock). Just make sure to test your carry ammo with it before carrying it. Also, as far as ball ammo goes, the gun has been flawless .

@@sammyg4806 see I've had the exact opposite experience I went on a hollow point search spent a bunch of money and testing them using the G3 Glock and my edc Smith and Wesson shield Plus all 9mm I used barnes vor-tx tac-xp 115gr, Sierra 124gr, browning X-point defense 147gr, Hornady critical duty 135gr, Hornady critical defense, Federal train + protect 115gr, Norma MHP 108gr, Winchester USA ready 124gr +p, Winchester defender 124gr +p, SIG v-crown 147gr, SIG v-crown 124gr, and the top 3 I chose (no surprise) Underwood Xtreme defender 90gr, speer Gold Dot 124gr, and Federal HST 124gr, all worked fine through the G3 had 1 failure to feed on the Norma MHP but that has a really long bullet because it's one of the biggest expanding hollow points and maybe it was a little bit of an exaggeration to say "basically a cheap Glock" more like a copy of a Glock for cheap with bad coating and not as good QC but mine has been pretty reliable but your right it's not a Glock but it's far from the old days of Taurus and something MOST people on a budget can reliably depend on
