Wonderful speech, Marni! I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your child, but I’m so inspired by the person who you are today!

Great speaker. It makes me wonder why we spend so much time worrying about what people think instead of doing what our hearts want. You're an inspiration, Marni.

Thank you. In just these short moments you made we realize that if I can endure losing my mother to cancer , that I can do anything. I will remind myself of this truth whenever fear pops up and is about to cause me to lose out on another opportunity. Peace and blessings to you.

The human brain is a truly unique thing. No one would intentionally make their lives exponentially more difficult than it has to be, save for the human brain.

I had a similar event in my life to you with your son. I was agoraphobic, partially due to my gender issues, and throughout over a decade of self imposed exile my amazing mother was there for me. Then, about 5 years ago she was diagnosed with and soon passed away from a particularly devastating ovarian cancer--through which I was her caretaker for a change. That experience was so horrific, so terrifying... I had a realization. I had seen something truly worth fearing, and I survived. My anxiety, my social phobias, and even my gender issues? That was nothing in comparison. I am now facing my fears, some days doing better at it than others, and 3 years after her passing I am currently waiting for an appointment to start HRT in a few weeks.

Trying to type through tears but that was so amazingly inspiring. The world can gain so much from listening to minorities.
