I agree she should definitely be in prison. But you can’t be jailed for having an abortion in the U.S., even states with the most strict abortion laws only prosecute the people performing the abortion. No women are being jailed for having an abortion in the states.

I honestly don’t think she did that bc she’s a mean and evil person I just think she was in very desperate situation where she didn’t know how to ask for help, especially with her mother around. Innocent until proven guilty? Hear me out… The USA has a way of prosecuting individuals in “the court of public opinion”. I don’t know why they call it that! Basically it’s the media telling people what to think. eg. “Hands-up, Don’t shoot!”. Think of Andrea Yates. “Public Opinion” wanted her, “buried under the jail”! We have now grown to understand that depression & psychosis happen to some women after childbirth. Andrea Yates is a very clear example of a loving mother suffering from postpartum psychosis. “Not guilty because of mental illness”. I don’t know enough about her psychological state. I’m NOT saying that it’s probable but I’m open to the possibility… I don’t know enough about her state of mind. (& I like to play devils advocate 😊) If you still believe that Andrea Yates should have been given the death penalty & postpartum psychosis is just an excuse (like the “Twinkie Defence”) you’ll never get what I’m saying…

@@carabobarafofara tbf if her mother didn't notice her ENTIRE pregnancy, even as she took her to chiropractors, then I'd understand that. but i genuinely do not understand how she could see her daughter every single day for nine months without noticing a change of ANY kinds. larger hips, swollen feet, hormone changes, mood swings, a literal baby bump, etc., without either being visually challenged or extremely neglectful. and to me, it sounds like she's a helicopter mom from the warrant and hospital visit. to me, "i told you about this" implies knowledge of her pregnancy.
@Helen-xv1bj
@Helen-xv1bj 4 ай бұрын
@@amor_en_fatis Why are you so intent on defending the mother? I keep seeing your comments and I don't get your point. Women like Alexee don't just "end up" like this. I was terribly afraid of my strict over-bearing parents and never told them anything, but I would never do this because at the end of the day they displayed morals that they instilled. Yes people react differently when in shock. But coupled with her subsequent actions ... isn't it clear she's an entitled, self-serving, cold person? And that's putting it nicely. She's so afraid of facing accountability and she passed that on to Alexee. That said, Alexee is now an adult and her actions are her own.
@Helen-xv1bj
@Helen-xv1bj 4 ай бұрын
@amor_en_fatis Dude, are you insane? Where did I say that it's not 100% her decision? I literally said she's an adult and her choices are her own. Explaining the reasoning of "why" her thinking ends up that way is only a matter of understanding the factors that come into play. It is in NO way justification. There is NO justification. And yes, you don't need to have strict parents to have anxiety. You'd be hard pressed to find a pregnant teen that's not scared to tell their parents. But if you can't see that something is wrong with the dynamic between Alexee and her mother, then you're just choosing to be blind. Shit like this keeps happening because people don't take the time to understand the way their actions affect their children for life. And you acting like Alexee's actions are insulated from any external factors is insane. That mom clearly has evaded accountability her whole life and people like you are what keeps them that way. Her reputation SHOULD be tarnished. Alexee was so clearly pregnant and like you said, her friends knew and she had plans and names. It wasn't one of those insane "I didn't know I was pregnant" cases that DO happen. That woman chose to shut her eyes.

@@FrankskinOrweed-ep4ij because a full term baby is a baby and she literally gave birth to it, then killed him. I don’t know what people you talk to, but what you’re getting at is probably a conversation about abortion, but the core of the topic is not what is considered a living baby. Medical professionals cant agree, ethicists can’t agree, so two people on the internet for certain will not find one correct definition for what point a baby is considered alive. it’s about bodily autonomy, everything else is a useless argument about semantics. you can’t be forced to do something as simple as donate blood if you don’t want to even if it would save ten lives, but you can be forced to carry a pregnancy to full term and go through the process of giving birth? please reevaluate your morals if your takeaway from this video was “oh, so this girl DOES think a 9 month baby is considered a baby, how curious.”

She was going to college and enjoying her life with absolutely no remorse about what she did. Absolutely disgusting and an epic fail for Alexee's mother. She sucks as a parent. She lied about it after the fact. It doesn't matter if she knew beforehand. All that matters is what happened as soon as she gave birth. And if it was a split second thing that she regrets and she feels bad about, she wouldn't be acting the way she is. She would be consumed with guilt, begging to go to prison. In 2011 I was 14 when I got pregnant with my first child. I was terrified of my parents finding out and seeing Alexee's mom took me straight back to those times. She was exactly the same kind of person and my dad was checked out of reality at the time but still just as scary. I didn't realize I was pregnant until about 5 months in, the father was 20 at the time too (yes fucked as hell but i didnt know anything about grooming back then ofc) and we had been broken up for like a couple months, just to make a bad situation even worse. But when I first had my suspicions I immediately told my girlfriends and one of their moms had helped me with the pregnancy test and all. They knew how my parents were and took great measures to tell them as gently as possible. It didn't make it much better and I still got yelled at and treated horrible for it, but the worst part was over from the standpoint of just having to get the information out. My mom did everything in her power to hide it, she checked me straight out of school the next day without warning, I had to leave a note on my locker to tell my friends I wasn't going to be back (of course my parent never let me have a phone) and checked me into a school for pregnant teens and other troubled youth. They didn't even tell any of my family. Their friend worked at the abortion clinic we used to have (we're in Texas, so it wouldn't be open for much longer once they changed the laws) and they took me there the next day after hours to get an ultrasound to see just how far along I was since we didn't know anything at that point. I was already five months so there was nothing they could do there, but my parents were adamant about getting me to a bigger city where they could do a later stage abortion. Having a baby was one thing, but hearing about what they were going to do scared the living shit out of me. I'm pro choice still, it was the lenghts they were willing to go to to hide all of this and the risks they were willing to take with my life as well that horrified me. So I ran away to my friend's house after that, where I stayed for a bit until their mom convinced me to go back to my parent's. After that I went to a bunch of clinics where they had me fill out adoption papers and everything already and all of that, the whole time was just traumatizing. At the end of it all the father's family took the baby the day I was discharged from the hospital after delivery and he's a healthy happy guy now and my parents recognize the wrongs that they did, but still I think about that girl I was. Terrified completely of them and what could have happened if I didn't have the support from my friends and their families that actually loved me unconditionally like that. I've felt that deer in the headlights look in Alexee's eyes the second she knew the jig was up, and how she looked immediately at her narccisist mother in fear thinking up any lie she could to save herself. I don't think I could have ever done what she did, but I also honestly don't know. I'm lucky to have had people I trusted to confide in even with such shitty conditions. She obviously didn't have anyone there for her like that, and it's probably from growing up in such a toxic household she couldn't make real connections with anyone just out of the simple fact that in her head she probably thinks that if that's how her mom treats her why wouldn't everyone. Lots of neglect and narcissism the whole way through. I guess that's why I can't judge her as harshly as others cause it feels like I've been there, and it's painful to think about. It just makes so much sense why they just wanted to keep living on like nothing happened. It's gonna haunt them the rest of their lives especially with how the mom kept badgering the authorities all due to her pride. She ruined her daughter's life and the life she could have had with her grandchild more than once, that's for damn sure 😔

@@MourningMoof3r I’m sorry that you experienced all that and pray you’re in a better place now. In Alexee’s case, the hospital had a safe haven and could’ve given birth and given the baby to them with no questions asked, yet she chose to murder the baby and hide it beneath towels & clean liner. She also was an adult who didn’t need her mother in the room (though I know the mom was overbearing, there are ways that could’ve gotten her away). As someone who is a woman as well, I know my body and would know if I was 9 months pregnant. She lied to the hospital about her sexual history and had multiple chances to tell the truth instead of resorting to murdering an innocent baby. When she was in labor in the bathroom, her mother was not with her. She could’ve gotten help from the nurse checking up on her but CHOSE not to. Just because she didn’t have a supportive family doesn’t excuse murder. I’m pro-choice through and through but this was a healthy baby that was suffocated to death. She had options but chose the worst possible one. I for one know that if I were in her situation, I wouldn’t have chosen murder, I don’t even think that would’ve been an option in my brain. At the end of the day, she doesn’t feel guilty nor remorse for the victim. She’s out here living her best life.

The fact NO ONE “knew” she was pregnant is BS. They knew, they just either didn’t want to admit it to themselves or they didn’t want to confront her… but it is SUPER obvious in the videos I’ve r seen of her in her lil cheerleading uniform. It’s SUPER obvious. I was TERRIFIED to tell my mom back in the day. To point where I waited and SHE told ME, ya know? Her mom knew. Her coaches knew. Her friends and boyfriend knew. Denial is a POWERFUL thing.

Even if she isn’t convicted, I’m so relieved this story gained so much traction because now she will never be able to go on to do anything without the murder of a newborn looming over her. Nobody will ever feel bad for her.

She withheld and denied crucial information that hospital needed to make an accurate speedy diagnosis. Alexis actually hurt/killed the baby and harmed the hospital staff with a traumatic experience 😢. She's an adult who made horrible choices. Now she has the nerve to blame the hospital for what she caused. Unreal😮. She's spoiled, inmature and entitled.

my baby is sound asleep in her crib rn, 4 months old. her birth was intense to say the least, i needed 2 epidurals bc the 1st one wore off and i started feeling everything again and it was the most physical pain i’ve ever experienced thus far. this woman knew wtf she was doing. she knew she was pregnant and she knew when she was giving birth. even if he was born a stillborn like she claims, she didn’t have enough empathy and respect for her own child to give him a proper burial? no, instead she stuffed him at the bottom of a garage can and tried to act like nothing happened afterwards. this case makes me absolutely furious, i hope she spends the rest of her life behind bars. there were so many other options and help she had, it didn’t have to be like this.

I understand what she did was awful, but I can’t help but turn to her own mother as well. 19 is still so young, but there comes a point where you need to start treating your child like a young adult and not as an actual child. Not only that, but regardless of age you should have a guardian who you can go to and say “I’m in trouble, I need help” before it gets to an extreme like this. What kind of home was her mother raising her in where she felt like she couldn’t do that? That being said, 19 is definitely old enough to know that what she did was wrong

This was such a sad story. Sounds like a case of a narcissistic mother and her narcissistic daughter. I feel the mothers behavior over time seemed like pure ego, poking the bear Ala the police. As a way of showing off that she and her daughter got away with it. She even seemed to be acting when they first were confronted with what they had done. Also, her reaction and going in on her daughter they way she did almost seemed forced and even to pass the blame off, even though she helped commit the homicide. Pure innocents snuffed out by pure evil. 🥺 That poor baby! 💚

So this girl and her mom would fight because she wasn’t being treated like an adult yet she was just fine hiding behind her mom through the whole thing?? And her mom telling the police to bring the car closer while she’s being arrested is incredibly entitled! This girl needs to learn that actions have consequences!

Listening to her mom and the controlling, entitled personality she has, it's no wonder Alexee acts the way she does. If only Alexee had that same instinct and loved, protected, and cared about her child the way her mother seemed to care about her. Maybe the outcome would have been different. I'm not saying I agree with her mother's parenting style, but it does seem like she is trying to protect her daughter in every way. We don't need to support teen pregnancy, but we should definitely support pregnant teens. As a parent, I wouldn't be estatic if one of my children became a teen parent, but I would let that go and support them. What's done is done, and I can't change what has already happened, but I can definitely suck it up and help support my teen in any way I can.

Sorry but the whole “don’t support teen pregnancy, support pregnant teens,” is the reason so many teenagers think this type of stuff is okay. There’s nothing to “support” about a teenager being pregnant. They don’t deserve help or coddling. They shouldn’t even be allowed to keep their babies. And you wanna know why? Because if we’re going to use the excuse, “she’s just a teenager, she doesn’t know any better, her brain isn’t fully developed,” then how can that teen be trusted to raise a baby? It will never make sense.
