I thought I knew a bit about the OPZ, but track speed division and tape sends are a new thing to me. With mute groups I'm starting to wonder why we need patterns. so much can be done with spark components already

Thank you good people. 5:30 Is there a way to randomize the key with a step-component? or Select in which trigger the key is going to change? (a mix of trigger spark + key change) Haven't tried it yet, once I get home I'll test it!

Wow, this is an absolutely amazing OP-Z tutorial, I've been working hard to learn and totally understand this thing called the OP-Z. I'm reading the manual, I'm watching KZfaq's, I'm taking notes and doing all that I can to get a grasp on it. You cleared up so many black holes in my limited understanding of this vastly complex awesome music machine, Thank You, I'm looking forward to viewing more of your OP-Z tutorials. Also, the sound blew me away, very Phat sounds!....what was the signal chain?

@@soundtechnology is it possible to sync such casual lights as philips hue etc? or only the performance grade?

@@jat5am If your lights can be controlled by DMX, OP-Z can control them too. I don't think this is possible with Philips Hue... but there may be some sort of hack you could try? For this video, we used some simple RGBW par cans. We've seen other people creating DIY setups - using led strips with a USB-DMX convertor. So it is possible to scale it down to something small.

Anyone help with a question I have re the Arp? In the manual it says a pro tip is to change the arp into mono and add portamento, but how does one switch into mono?

You can make the arp track monophonic and increase the portamento using the following steps: 1. Press + Hold the track button 2. Whilst holding the track button, turn the blue dial until the LED next to it flashes blue (value key number 2 also flashes) - this changes the track to monophonic 3. Keep holding the track button & now turn the red dial to increase / decrease portamento - the brighter the white led, the longer the glide time. Hope this helps!
