Welcome back to the bench!
Today we've got a simple repair on a Tektronix DMM157 Multimeter. This is one of Tek's lower level meters, I'm not sure of a manufacture date and forgot to look when I had it pulled it apart.
As far as a repair, this one is easy to diagnose and fix, especially since the leakage hadn't spread into the PCB, but it was enough cause issues.
As far as the meter, as much as I love tech stuff, this one is definitely not built to the same class as the DMM9XX series, but that was the intention, they wanted a cheaper meter for people who didn't need all the bells and whistles. Overall, it is a decent, even with the sad sounding continuity buzzer.
Anyways, I hope you like the video, please like, subscribe, and share. I'm also on Instagram @bebsrepairbench, where I try to post something everyday!
