Learning to adjust your body to the incoming ball is a fundamental skill in tennis. If I am able to hit in balance at exactly the right distance, making contact at the exactly the right spot I am not going to miss many shots. However, most instruction focuses on swinging and most of the time there is little attention given to receiving the ball.
