3:50 is nine in a nutshell, he'll be jokey, he'll boast a bit, he'll make someone feel a bit small, then he'll be dark and furious, then a second later he's light and has a smile on. I absolutely adore that unpredictability, I hope we see some of it in 13 or any future doctors.

I honestly feel like 12 and 9 were fairly similar in their attitudes, while being entirely different! 12 felt far more stable but was never lacking in the sarcasm and irritation! Gotta say, I've been fairly picky with my liking of Doctors but 9, and 10 (and 12 within the past couple years) have absolutely sold it for me since I was little!

9 is the first Doctor I ever saw. It’s a shame that he doesn’t think of himself as the Doctor because I always will. He is the best in my not so humble opinion.

The idea is that he doesn’t consider himself the Doctor because he is the Variation directly Proceeding the Doctor of War, the 8th Incarnation that Trapped Gallifrey in a single Second of Time for All Eternity, Locked in Perpetual War. Therefore, Eccleston’s version doesn’t consider himself the “Doctor” anymore because he had Just barely Doomed his entire Planet and People before we meet him for the first time.

Did anyone realise when Micky said to the Doctor “I bet you don’t even know my name” and the Doctor said “Ricky”. Ricky was the name of Mickey in the parallel universe in the episode “Rise of the Cybermen” & “Age of Steel”. Is it possible that the 9th Doctor had some sort of encounter with the Ricky in the parallel universe? Or even possibly with the Cybermen? Could become a Big Finish 9th Doctor story...
