Man even the people that showed up when I saw it were just silent. I saw SM1, SM2 and SM3 and my theater was going crazy for every scene in those movies. But when I went to see TASM 1 there was no applause or cheer of any kind until the very end and it was mild. This is the same theater and I even saw some of the same people so it’s kinda sad it didn’t do well. I loved it beginning to end and will be there for the TASM 2 but this sucks to see.

There was no advertising for this, nobody knows what's going on. Re-releasing the Rami movies kinda made sense because 2 turned 20, but what exactly is going on here? Are they re-releasing every single Spider-Man ever made or something?

You haven’t seen it but trust me people showed up just not for this movie unfortunately my theaters were packed for Spider-Man 1-3 and even TASM 1 had my theater pretty full which is why I’m surprised it didn’t even get as much as Spider-Man 1.

@@ericdxfan511The Raimi re-releases were actually marketed. It’s hard to call “excuse” TASM re-releases because Somy didn’t give them anywhere near the amount of marketing as the Raimi films. I only knew about the TASM releases because my friend went to see them and posted about it on his snapchat story. Heck I guarantee you didn’t even know about them until the day the re-released

Probably because the marketing came from just one source. I don’t know alot of people subbed to Sony’s channel, so who’s to say everyone watches it? Plus normally you’d expect a lot more marketing than just KZfaq videos.

Thats true but we already know that mcu fans are rewatching the tom holland series and as much as I love Tasm it has such a bad reputation that it was never going to get rewatched anyway because Andrew isnt tobey and 2 they thought his films were just okay. Tom's at least has the avengers to further separate himself from the other 2

I lucked out and the movies have been playing in the theatre near me. Spider-Man 3 was absolutely PACKED. I’ve seen all 3 raimi films and I went to TASM 1 simply bc I love these movies. TASM 1 had about 20 people for me, while every single raimi film had at least 30+.

I watched it again on Netflix last night and it’s the same feeling I had ever since it came out… it’s an “okay” movie. It’s not as grand as Tobey’s and it does tend to feel like the kinda of movies that Sony would release today when it comes to offish acting and being to grounded… TASM 2 as flawed as that movie is, feels more like spider-man than this emo night time take from the first

Tasm 1 is my favorite Spiderman origin and as much as I loved Tobey's I just wasnt a fan of how cartoony his world felt. That being said Im nlt going to the movies for any of the rereleases I have rewatched all of them multiple times and I have the dvds at home

@@theoutsiderjess4869 Honestly in my opinion Tobey’s was literally more comic accurate (aside from the organic webs) so it was supposed to be campy and fun. TASM 1 just feels like a spider-man version of Batman by calling him a vigilante and having the cops go after him the majority of the movie

I had my ticket ready for May 6 but it was my dad’s birthday and I asked my family ahead of time if we were doing anything and they said nothing then the day before they tell me they made plans to take my dad out so I of course had to cancel my ticket for this. Now I was really excited to see this since this is up there as one of my favorite Spiderman films

I consider this - This is an event, and they're playing them in order obviously, but times are hard and maybe a lot of fans who already went and watched the OG Tobey films didn't worry about or couldn't go ahead and spend even more money and also watch the Andrew films too, if that makes sense. Like I bet the Tom films probably don't do quite as well as some have them predicted to do this time around, even if they do better than the Andrew films did. Just saying, it might be a contributing factor.

i went to see tasm1 and i’m going on monday to see tasm2, even though these aren’t my favorites i still love both of them, they’re very dear to me and yea i wish the wave of support TASM was getting after no way home was displayed here, the theatre i went to wasn’t even sold out for any of the show times, unlike the raimi trilogy which i also watched. hopefully more people make it to tasm2, but i don’t have high hopes for the attendance unfortunately.

This is why voting with your wallet is important. Andrew Garfield was great as Spider-Man. The story for both films wasn't good.

I saw it last Night and I also saw Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3 I didn’t get to see The First Spider-Man, but My Audience was cheering and clapping for Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3, But when I saw The Amazing Spider-Man last night, I still really enjoyed it and It was Awesome to see it on The Big Screen, But The Audience barely made any sound. I was a Little disappointed by that because I Love Andrew So Much He’s My Favorite Spider-Man but I hope for TASM 2 it will be a better Audience.

How did you miss this all over KZfaq, every nerdy channel covering it, as well as sports events on tv advertised for it, like dude it’s been everywhere for two months now 😂😂

@@dariuschisholm7317 You're absolutely right. It obviously wasnt on my radar like the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies, because I heard about those coming back to theaters. You know, it's entirely possible that those films got a bigger push than Andrew Garfield's, considering they made more money and would likely do the same upon re-release. It could also be that, in the end, it's not that big of a deal to me when I've seen them all in theaters numerous times and have them in my personal film collection. Now, I think I'll go back to not paying attention to cheeky commenters. Have a great day, Darius...it's sunny outside!

Damn, that sucks. I don’t care what anyone says, I’ve always loved Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man and I always loved the first movie. Immediately when my brother told me about the re-releases, we got tickets to see TASM 1 and 2 since we never saw them in theaters. Had a great time with TASM 1, it was also cool to get posters and my theater was packed. I’m not too excited to watch TASM 2 because although Andrew is my favorite Spider-Man, I have a lot of problems with TASM 2, though it’s still not the horrible abomination people exaggerate it to be. I am excited to experience the amazing swinging scenes on the big screen, though.

I didnt rewatch the original spiderman trilogy in theater and I was a baby at that time. And while I should watch tasm 1 in theater as its my favorite and I never saw it in theater when I was 12 im not seeing it. I have the dvd at home Im not going to the movie theater right now Im incredibly busy. Besides Sony is terrible at marketing the rerelease I found out through a community post on youtube not even frim sony themself

0:10 I was noticing how many people said it wasn’t advertised 😂😂😂 Three things For two months it’s been advertised on 1. KZfaq commercials 2. All nerdy channels 3. Commercials during Sports events on tv Like how did all of you miss that, I didn’t go, but I knew about this like two months ago 😂😂

Why would you re-release a film and expect it to make huge money. It's been available for years on various streaming services, it makes no sense...... Instead of constantly re-release older films, maybe craft something that people will want to go see........if it's been available for years in streaming and on television then people are far less likely to go see it in the theaters it's not worth the hassle or expense.

TASM franchise was ATROCIOUS, that’s why Sony let Disney-Marvel to make Spider-Man films within the MCU in the first place.

Andrew Garfield is a great actor and Spider-Man. But that doesn't stop those movies from still just being _bad_ . LOL! Money is too tight to waste on a mid movie from 15 years ago, when I can catch it on a streaming service for a quarter of the cost. Re-releasing it to the theaters was just tone deaf.

Better than I remember. Story was a bit rushed and didnt have a lot of emotional value. Suit was horrid. The choreography and visuals by sony were very cool though

Alas, I only had one day this week in which I *might* have been able to see TASM. And on that day, I was busy with other things, or else I would have. I fully intend to see TASM 2, precisely to "vote with my wallet," in favor of Sony making a putative TASM 3. But now I suppose I'll be doing this with the understanding that, even with my support, I more than likely will not get a TASM 3. Alas.

Didn't even know it was out :/ Plus we don't want to re-watch TASM 1 and 2.. we want 3 I don't have time to see new movies, why would I go cinema to re-watch ones I already seen from years ago, that are years ago old lol
