The only problem with this years awards is that JJK S2 is supposed to be only the Hidden Inventory arc but people will judge it as a whole instead because of how it is labeled. As an addition Gojo shouldn't be under supporting character since he is really a main character in that arc.

@meee_5155 100% agree. The first season of Bleach TYBW was dominating viewership when it came out at the end of 2022 and was a massive hit. But was excluded from that years awards (like others) due to “recency bias”. Yet its come back was massive but since it was so long ago it’s completely overlooked and only the second season was nominated in like 1 category. Their whole recency bias logic is just stupid, as these anime that get excluded for being to recent and and being fresh in peoples minds get screwed by being pushed back to the next years awards and usually it ends up with them being forgotten about.

The finalized version of Zom100's intro was the best one for me. Not the song, but the whole package, since it's an anime about enjoying life to it's fullest regardless of circumstances. So how can you possibly convey this better than with such a beautifully animated freaking FLASHMOB together with the life threatening monsters of the show?? To summarize; the intro perfectly encapsulates what the show is about and gets you energized and smiling

I wasn’t a huge fan of the Zom 100 OP, the song didn’t really hit for me, and the visuals were decent but didn’t feel particularly inspired or interesting. The ED however, that went hard. I adore the ED for this anime. While it’s definitely not groundbreaking in any aspects, it perfectly encapsulated the slice of life elements and really showcased just how fun the show is.

As a cinematography nerd, I think heavenly delusion takes the cake for me in the cinematography section. Some of those shots go so insanely hard.. like the one shot with the switching hands at the end of I think the second to last episode. Genuine chills.

as someone who saw all the shows... jujutsu kaisen had better cinematography. Wanna know why? every fight was completely different. It's the only anime that changed it's cinematography for every character and fight scene. All the other shows do the same cinematography the whole show. JJK shows it can change it up and top the previous one every time

I hope that Heavenly Delusion wins something so Disney finally has to acknowledge it and maybe we will be closer to a season 2 announcement. Because I don’t think they even care. Hey man gojo is alot more than just a pretty face. He’s a lonely soul who’s power separates him from everyone around him, used as a tool his whole life growing up. Finding someone that he could share his life with and his title of strongest only to lose him to the bitter circumstances of the world and life. Learning to care despite his apathy and wanting to teach the younger generation how to be strong together. Gojo is a great character. That being said, Reigen sweeps.

You are correct, Gojo is more than just "strong" character for power (heck, he realized even with all his strength, he felt powerless to stop Geto from defecting). But yeah, as you also said in that whole category, Reigen is the best option for his climax for the Mob Psycho 100 series as a whole.

I remember jamming to the full Oshi No Ko intro song before watching episode 1. Then after episode 1 I searched for a subtitled version of the song... and bawled my eyes out. That shit hit hard. It is absolutely Ai Hoshino's song, it's like her entire existence was translated into those verses. The last sequence that hit me hard was Vivy Flourite Eyes' song.

Bocchi wins the best OST for me because if you didn't know, they released a full album of songs from the band once the show finished airing. So they recording an entire album as the bocchi girls and they're all great. Also the Danger's In My Heart was robbed of best romance. edit: Guess I wasn't too clear. Half the songs on the album had already been featured in the show as OP, ED, and inserts, so much of that was already part of the soundtrack. Being able to create an entire album for the shows from the songs on it showed to me how great of a job they did.

THE MYSTERY MAN, DRAIN ARM, MILLION'S KNIVES, PLANET ZAZIE, JENEORA ROCK, OH, OH, ELENDIRA THE CRIMSONNAIL TOO!!! (The haunting melody gives me chills almost as much as did the old Legato's theme from 98) Not only were Trigun Stampede's OSTs absolute bangers but they were also very VERY smartly utilized, especially on the story-telling level, the list is LONG. We can hear the repeating motifs in the important moments and etc. I WILL NEVER GET OUT OF MY HEAD THE: Can we be the same way together? Yeah... Shadow was both best comedy and best fantasy. Despite everything, the amount of details they put into worldbuilding is off the charts. Best directing too, since as someone pointed out, not once (at least in the first season) does Shadow defeat his enemies the same way. Every single kill is done differently.

idk where you heard that Shibuya arc isnt counted. Its season 2, plain and simple. It matters when a season starts, not that it was still ongoing in fall. Theyre not considering Hidden inventory and Shibuya seperately.

Demon Slayer is a fantasy, but I don’t think it deserves best fantasy. Also apparently Mushoku Tensei isn’t very well liked by the official voters.

@@TehWhiteTiger Well no, Demon Slayer is a supernatural fantasy. It has Demons, Magic, Alternate Dimensions, Fictional Locations, Items with Magical Powers, people with Superhuman Abilties, etc. You probably have a very westernized mindset as to what the Fantasy genre is, thinking that it has to take place in some medieval magical world with a bunch of different monsters, races, and magic systems, but anything with elements outside of reality is fantasy. CSM is fantasy. AOT is fantasy. Zom 100 is fantasy. Demon Slayer especially, is fantasy. And if we're voting out of which of those 6 animes is a Fantasy and is the best, my vote is going to Demon Slayer. Love Mushoku Tensei though, close second.

If they are only considering the Hidden Inventory arc, it makes no sense to nominate Gojo for the best supporting character. He was the protagonist, and hence got the screentime usually reserved for the MC. So the competition is going to be unfair. That being said, I agree Reigen should win this one.

Crunchyroll had Eren as best antagonist and best protagonist at the same time for one awards and he won antagonist. Eren is still the protagonist even if he becomes a villain.

As much as I want AoT to win something, it feels like in every category, there's something that outclassed it. That's not necessarily a bad thing, though. AoT is a very well-rounded, so it's a serious contender in every category it's nominated in, but isn't quite as exemplary as another show in the same category.

Man I'm so glad that Best Direction and Best Original Anime were given to Bocchi and Witch from Mercury. Bocchi had a very unique direction which made it stand out from other slice of life anime and WfM just had this ongoing mystery and 2d mecha animation that really drew you in the show. Here's hoping they actually win but if Demon Slayer can win Best Fantasy then I'm not keeping my hopes up
