A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ KZfaq. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of KZfaq I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on KZfaq won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This KZfaq channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different

Dude, the Beatles stopped playing live half way through their career and just locked themselves away in the studio for a few years. Thats when they produced their best work.

It's funny cus that actually depends on who you ask cus there are definitely people who preferred the older works than the later. In my opinion I believe that is a sign of just how amazing this band was regardless of which era of their music they were at it was so good that you have so many people who love all of their work and multiple factions who also love specific eras in their music

and the reason for that was the girls, they just squealed too loudly and drowned out the music from the speakers. The last concert was on the roof, which was repeated several dozen years later by the U2 band

@@jareczek1980 supposedly they didn't even bother to tune their guitars on their last concert performances (rooftop aside), because they realized that not only could they not hear if they were playing correctly, neither could the audience, so what difference did it make how it sounded?

He was at Eric’s house because he was ditching a business meeting. Probably one of the best business decisions he ever made (even if that was not intended) as I’m sure he made more money from writing that song than he would have done sitting in an office for a couple of hours.

My first time hearing The Beatles was in 1985, when I was 4. I was OBSESSED with 'Thomas The Tank Engine' which was narrated by Ringo Starr. My Dad said to me 'Ringo who reads your Thomas stories used to be in a band called 'The Beatles.' He then played me 'I Want To Hold Your Hand' and I immediately became OBSESSED with The Beatles and over 35 years later I still am!

I'm old.ok? Imagine way back when there wasn't even fm radio everywhere. Just the generic sounding, transistor radio AM stations, were all we knew as youngsters. The sound out of them was rather shilly. Even so,when the song " I wanna hold your hand" came blurting out of it...there was something magical about the sound. It was euphoric in some way. You knew immediately it was special. It's difficult to describe but it made your ears perk up in some way. It might be similar to walking through a desert parched,but not realizing it. Until someone throws a gallon of cool water over you. It filled an empty spot in my soul I didn't know was there. I was fortunate enough to be one of those first group of people to hear them on the airwaves.

I was in 4th grade when a classmate turned me on to the Beatles. He was an artist, was always drawing Beatles pictures, so I had to go to the drugstore in the village and buy a Beatles record. Meet the Beatles. This was four or five years after it had been released, but I didn't have many choices there, and I didn't know that anyways. Listened to it over and over. Must have been during a break in the school day, possibly at the beginning, not remembering exactly when, but I was at the blackboard, and "my girl" was up there right next to me, I broke into the verse "I Want to Hold Your Hand". She had no idea what that was about. Sorry, over a half century ago. Guess my memory's not completely shot

The first time I heard of the Beatles was when they appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964. I was a senior in high school and have been a Beatles fan ever since, both as a group and as individual artists. And the first time I heard "Here Comes the Sun" I was just coming down from a really spectacular acid trip. Still enjoy their music.

My father played jazz guitar back then, up and down the West Coast. There is literally no part of my life where I did NOT know the Beatles, inside and out. I'm certain I was introduced tot hem when I was 7. All I remember is mum pulling me into the living room, putting 'The Red Album' on, my standing there thinking 'This had better be good', and then one second later dancing around the living room with her to 'Love Me Do'. I was introduced to the Blue Album a day or so later. If I remember right and I was 7 when this happened, then this would have been around the time when George died (he was Dad's favourite Beatle for various reasons including his bringing Indian music to mainstream culture - dad's not Indian but he loves the music and the culture - I think he even said at one point that he was something like a father figure to him for a bit), because in 2016 every time a famous singer died they spent half the day getting their old cds of them out and listening to them non-stop (interesting experience holding your mums hand at the table listening to 'So Long Marianne'), so it makes sense that they'd introduce me to the Beatles as a response to George Harrison's death. A year later I was the only one who seemed to remember the rest of the lyrics to 'yellow submarine' (I read the lyrics in the booklet the cds had).

Same. I truly can’t think of a time where I wasn’t aware of the Beatles, Elton John, Simon & Garfunkel, Three Dog Night, The Who, Isaac Hayes, Crosby, Stills & Nash Billy Joel, James Taylor or the Dave Brubeck quartet. Those albums were constantly being played in our house since I was a baby (born in ‘68). I remember being around 3 or 4 & sitting in front of this low, yellow coffee table we had & playing ‘piano’ on the table along with Elton John😊

I saw them play on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964 when I was 9. It changed my life and the lives of almost everyone in western culture at that time. The Beatles were a musical revolution. I feel so fortunate to have grown up in these years because I got to experience the greatest era music has yet known.

I grew up with them. Every song a hit. At their concert there were thousands of young screaming girls going crazy. They were like kings. Unreal just unreal. Like a dream time

I was 14 or 15 yrs old, sitting at home, on the couch waiting for the Ed Sullivan show and I heard "I want to hold your hand." That was it for me and I soon learned, along with the country, the Beatles had tapped into the soul of music. It was an eye opener for the power of music.

My first time seeing the Fab Four was their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964 when I was all of 11 yrs old. A year later I went with my female cousins to see their first movie A Hard Day's Night and all the girls in the theater were screaming as if they were right up there on stage. The only Beatle I've seen perform live was Paul McCartney in Philadelphia during his Wings Over America tour and of course it was awesome.

I heard of the Beatles when I was a very young child, because they still had music on the radio then! I never saw them live, of course, but heard their music all the time at home. My very favorite song is "Norwegian Wood". I'm not sure why, but that song has always touched my heart.

Bob Geldof said Beatles concerts smelled of urine and it stank. All the crazy girls working themselves into a frenzy and passing out pissed themselves, and he could see little tiny rivers of pee rolling down the auditorium floors to gather in front of the stage. You couldn't hear them playing the music because of those same girls screeching.

@@TheSanityInspector It's not a matter of age, it's the historical significance of the events (look up the Beatles at Shea Stadium). It was such a mad house that the Beatles stopped performing live and only recorded in studio from that point on. In fact, they essentially created the concept of music videos to avoid performing live on TV shows.

I was 9 years old and brand new to the United States (I'm Canadian). My family and I were watching the Ed Sullivan Show. Once I saw the Beatles I knew that everything would be different. I fell in love with them and their music. To this day, I still have all my Beatles vinyl....all of it. I never got to see them live, but they started me on a musical journey where I got to see a LOT of truly legendary bands live over the years. It was a great time to grow up.

When i was a child we would watch "The Beatles" cartoons on a black and white tv. That was the beginning of my love for their music.

As far as Beatles live performances go, they only toured in the U.S. from 1964 to 1966. And if you watch any of the videos you will see it was complete insanity, with every teenage girl in the audience screaming at the top of their lungs from beginning till end. The amazing thing is, even with tiny PA systems and NO monitors at all, they were always singing perfectly in key, totally f'ing amazing.

Not the Beatles but I've seen Paul McCartney 2 times in my life. Amazing. He plays about 8 instruments and just rocks the whole time. Plus hearing him play Blackbird live is flat out an experience. AND he plays "something" in tribute to George on George's old ukulele. Amazing.

I’m 66. I saw the Beatles on tv in 1964-so right from the beginning. From that moment you could see there was a real musical change happening. Little did we know!! Their music is so diverse anyone can find something they like. This song is truly lovely!!

I'll never forget the first time I saw them on The Ed Sullivan show. It was the first and last time I "shushed" my mother. She was shocked speechless, but I did hear about it later (I was only 8 yrs old and children of the '50s did not sass their mothers, non-negotiable)

57 years ago February 9th on the Ed Sullivan show I saw/ heard the Beatles for the first time along with 70 million American viewers. I was 13; the perfect age to be introduced to this revolutionary group of musicians. They are still my favorite musical group of all time at age 70. Thanks for your reaction, brother Rome.😎✌🏽☮️🎸

I’m 70 .. I was a rocker in 1964 I was 13 year old rebel, Elvis was King.. I went to a mates place, he had all his hair brushed forward not greased back .. I looked at him puzzled & he said the Beatles mate, I went “who!!!” The Beatles listen to this, he put on Love Me Do, I can’t say I loved it, but I knew they had taken music in a different direction & that interested me, I thought they were a one hit wonder, but song after song, with this catchy different sound, I was hypnotised by their greatness & still they cranked out hit after hit, I finally gave in & become a Beatle maniac a fan for life.. I still love them & always will.

I was 9 years old in 1963 when my older sister came home with single “I Want To Hold Your Hand”. Beatlemania ensued. I am 66 years old now and can sing every harmony and tell you every guitar riff and drumbeat of every Beatle song ever written. An original Beatlemaniac. Exactly 50 years after the Beatles hit America, at the age of 59, I got to see my favorite Beatle, Paul McCartney, in Lincoln, NE. An amazing 3 hour concert. No front group. He went through many Beatles songs and took time to honor both John and George, who had both passed away; singing some of their songs. He has an incredible band of young people. If I closed my eyes, I would swear I was listening to the original.

My father and my family moved to Los Angeles in 1963 and the first job he got was pressing records at Capital Records, and the first record he pressed was the Beatles first US release, Meet the Beatles. He brought one home, slapped it down on the kitchen table and said, "Here they are, the future." I'm 67 and they've always been with me.

I first watched The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show on February 9, 1964. (I was 13) I immediately fell in love with there music. I saw them live in St. Louis in 1966 and saw Paul McCartney live in concert in 2010. I can't begin to explain what their music means to me. Every song is a memory. Great job on all of your reactions. I first heard of and saw them 51 years ago yesterday 2/9/64 on their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show. I was in 2nd grade. Two years later I was 9, my sister was 12, and our mother took us to see them live on 8/19/66 in Memphis- our first concert ever. My sister and I got this album for Christmas when it came out and we wore out the vinyl listening to this song, our favorite. So uplifting and hopeful, especially in the cold wintertime. But I lost her 20 years ago to breast cancer, on New Year’s Eve 2000, so now this song always chokes me up. I still miss her and would give anything to have her back. RIP Lynda. Until we’re together again, then we’ll rip it up like we always did when you were here. ❤️

Their last public performance was 52 years ago and that was the one on the rooftop. I would think there isn't a whole lot of people still around that last saw them perform. I have listened to them for over 45 years myself and I never get tired of them.

First heard the Beatles? Summer of 1966. I'm 4 years old, riding with dad in the front seat of a 1950-something Citroen deux Chevaux rag-top (with top down) near Jaffrey NH. We have a battery powered transistor radio on the seat between us. The wind is blowing in the smell of fresh cut grass mixing with the sun-heated auto interior of this death-trap car and the bottle of Budweiser between dads legs -- a great adventure on the way to I don't remember where-- but I do remember that 'Yesterday' came on the radio. Dad turned up the volume and sang along a little too seriously, a little too loudly. When the song ended he looked at me and just says "Beatles. Great song'. It seemed to me at the time he thought it important that I knew that. A happy day. A simple memory and a song that still brings to me that moment shared between a 4 year old and his dad.

My grandparents were visiting from England in 1964 and my grandmother was a fan, then shortly thereafter they were on Ed Sullivan and we all watched because my grandmother had us psyched up to see them. I became a fan for life at the age of 4. In short it is hard to think of time I didn't know about the Beatles. But there was. I was a Roy Rogers, Sons of the Pioneers, Marty Robbins fan, guitar playing and singing cowboys! Then the Beatles changed everything.

I think it's funny that RomeLife is saying, "Don't hate on me for not having heard of the Beatles until Black Beatles" because I only discovered Smokey Robinson from hearing the Beatles' cover of "You Really Got A Hold On Me." I think that is just one of the ways people discover great music.
