DLZ is the Western FGC’s best Susan player, and every time I hear he’s at a tournament he’s usually making it to Grand Finals, like he’s ultra consistent, and it’s always a treat when he fights, especially when it’s someone like Monarch

Blazblue sets never disappoint. If I see that a tournament is happening, that just ends up deciding what I'm doing for the next couple hours. And the Combo Breaker sets and especially the finals were above and beyond.

Damn each time a Susanoo/Hakumen comes back from a painful full zoning round against Lambda, it's so satisfying. And that Astral finish at 1 second ... DAMN !!!

suzanoo is such a cool ccharacter. I had gave up on blazblue but when I saw him I went back to the game. Really cool and unique and badass. Played only him until Jubei was released

MAAAAAAN why cant blazblue be more popular? i got into this game not long ago and have been having a blast but nobody cares about this game. Jiyuna i know DNFD just came out and you gotta get that bread but please keep making blazblue videos, please save blazblue. the FGC needs this game to stay relevant until something comes out that can properly fill its shoes.

This set is exactly what I watch pro play for. These close matches that get your heart pumping. Ggs to Monarch for staying resilient and adapting and ggs to DLZ for playing the matchup as perfectly as he could and bringing the hype!

Seeing Blazblue get coverage these days really is a blessing, especially high level play. Love this game. I hope the game keeps staying alive or somehow gets a revival again in the near future by way of a new installment.

Monarch's defense in the CEO grand finals was unreal (to bbcf inexperienced eyes at least). i don't watch bbcf regularly but decided to check it out on a whim and ended up watching the whole thing.

CEO grand finals was super hype too and had Monarch in it. There's one moment in that set where Monarch makes one of the most insane combacks I have ever seen and then finishes the next round with a perfect. Monarch is bb master

Crazy set. If you can, check out the grand finals between Kyros and Ruka from '2021-10-09 The Pinnacle 2021 BBCF'(name of the video on KZfaq). That was another insane set. Never have I seen a Hazama player not want to die like that.

I remembrer watching a tournament between two Noel´s, I believe it was CS2. And they were doing D combos trying to hit each other while evading trought the hits... it was very Dragon Ball (anime) like xD I can´t find that video anymore :P

Kokonoe is what got me into BBCF but Strive has spoiled me with short combos (I'm a beginner) and a large active playerbase. I want BlazBlue to still have a future but I'm not sure if it's the game for me. I just keep getting meme'd on and I don't find that particularly fun...

Don't ever block low vs lambda when she's outside 3C range, she has no ranged low unlike nu. She needs to parser in, then can do a low/high follow-up. All her zoning stuff is high or mid.

Susan at BBCF 1.0 didn't have most of his consistent stuff so he is considered low tier but in BBCF 2.0 he is quite good

Man this makes me wish Blazblue was more popular. So unique and the game that got me into fighting games. I like it more than GG even though i also like GG. I guess it's the Pixel art that makes me love it because we don't really get too many Pixel-art fighting games anymore like BB. Especially not from Arcsystem-works after DragonBall. Off topic but have you seen that Rougelike BB game that's coming? Looks to be another mobile game and not another Mainline game. 😭

@@ANIMEILLUMINATI Don't get me wrong I am to especially after seeing that Arakune boss fight but were coming up on 10 years without another Mainline BB game. Rollback on PC is dope but I'm a console Pesant so I'm stuck with an inferior version of the game saddly.

Back in the day Gold Burst was an aggressive use of burst and I believe that it wasn't liked in the competitive scene (might be misremembering), Overdrive replaced it as a use for burst and seems to play a huge role in fights but I've never seen any discourse on it being liked or hated as a change. Great sets though, I was cheering for the Susan all the way.

It's still hated. You can use it during blockstun and it's basically a get out of jail card with a free punish, min 2k dmg
