Rigid also has a hose that looks exactly like the one you have. If I remember correctly they call it the car detailing accessory kit. It came with the 10 feet hose and a bunch of attachments. I use the Rigid model that looks like a toolbox, the reservoir is bigger and once all closed up it easier to store in the truck. I kept the hose it came with, can always use it as an extension if I need to. But yes, Rigid are very good vacuums for detailers.

So true about the hassle of the wheel vacuums ... On mine I lost one damn wheel somehow, and I also pull the vacuum from the hose and end up hitting the car with it!! I'm getting this one

OMG! That rigid crevice tool with the LED light was quite a find. Less than $10 at Home Depot. Must have for that price.

I picked up a 36ft pool vacuum hose at Lowe's, cut off the ends, and attached the connectors to it. Works awesome! Thinking outside of the box, Scott!

I’ve had one of these about 7 -8 years, I use it to clean everything. I buy the waterproof filters, wash them with the hose and spray cleaner. I have two filters, use one while the other drys. I have a super long hose that is heavy duty. I love it..

This is some powerful vacuum cleaner.

I used to you use this for my customers and my cars for sale but the shop vac 5 gallon 6.5 peak hp professional series. It blows this ridgid away. Much more suction power

I have that vacuum and love it. Its a small vacuum but has the same 5hp motor as the bigger vacs. It actually has more suction than the big ones. You should get the muffler for it. It makes it a lot quieter and also keeps the vacuum exhaust from blowing debris around.

Ridgid does offer the upgraded hose that has the locking latches. Got mine at Home Depot

I have one of the huge ones on wheels but my driveway is a decent incline and it wants to roll all around and i have to tug on the hose and I have to worry about it rolling out into the road or against the side of my truck. And yes the hose it comes with is a hard non flexible plastic thats a pain to work with. But I got it free in the box relatively new so no complaints.

Rigid actually makes a pro grade hose that looks just like that one that you can get at homes depot. It comes with all the different end pieces so it mounts to the vacuum correctly and all the tools work

You should have bought the cheaper one also, then returned it to the place where you paid more for the first one. I do that frequently (never throw away the box) and that's the price the place gets for charging me more. I use "the one" with the wheels, but it's also Rigid and not by accident. Of course you have to have the "pro" accessory kit and that's why the hose is so heavy-duty. I see the advantage of yours, but in my detailing style, I just prefer the wheels and they easily lock in place with a binder clip (my idea, not theirs). I use a nylon strap to drag it around, not the hose, but it could take it if you're not too rough with it. With a 10 ft hose, you don't need to move the vacuum much. I love your videos!

5 stars on everything🌼 because this has taken all kinds of abuse from me and still works perfectly. Couldn’t ask for more from a “cheap” shop vac.

huh..liked this...was going to get this so started watching videos this week..... but then recently found out about Craftsman xsp 5.5 HP and the vacmaster beast 5.5....seems better. and the vacmaster is like 65 bucks online vs 100 bucks for this with less attachments as is. Interesting. will keep researching. I also like a Hose holder arms!!

Scott, I don't think I've seen any vids from you for heavy stained or soiled carpets yet? What are you doing for those absolutely horrible seats and carpets? Like pet stains (urine) coffee stains, grease grime or oil and human schmoo? What about water extractor machines?

I have the one with the wheels but it has the detachable blower and alil more power. it came with the detailing kit that ridgid was selling got it on eBay for $127 new. It was the only one that came with the kit that had the blower. Anywhere else I looked wasn't available or just didn't have the kit. If the wheels become an annoyance then I'll just cut them off lol.

Seems like this version isn't available anymore from Home Depot. There are some left on Amazon but at a higher price. I prefer this version with no wheels, but it doesn't seem like it's going to be carried anymore.

I don't like the wheels either.... Why... Because it's bigger and more cumbersome to store. Also, any specific details for the Mr. Vacuum hose I'd need to know?

Scott, thanks for your videos. I both enjoy and learn from them. I think you have a great outlook and attitude. I looked into these portable Rigid vacs after seeing your video. My local HDs only had the wheeled version in the store. I ended up getting a toolbox version called the Pro Pack with the same 5hp motor. It's almost identical in size and weight but with a much much better hose. Check it out if you have time : kzfaq.info/get/bejne/icWgnMmHnZ7ecYk.html *edit - I just returned the Pro Pack WD4522. That awesome hose would stretch to 7 feet then retract back to 2. The problem was when the vac is on it constantly tries to suck the hose back to fully retracted. It made it extremely difficult to vacuum my floorboards as I had to put one foot in front of the vac, one hand stretching the hose out, and one hand operating the nozzle. The newer black and red updated version of this vac has a different hose - I guess Rigid figured out the stretchy hose was a dud.

Ridgid is a Home Depot brand.
