Hey! This is a brand new series we are trying out: short videos breaking down some data with a bit of context. Let us know what you think about it in terms of content, visuals, etc. We're all ears!

The info is great, but you should really try to explore vertical format, 90s, Shorts, reels, tick tocks, etc. Since IDK if this kind of videos will go well with the all mighty algorithm and your usual content. Maybe create a shorts channel like Marques or Linus? Just an opinion, though. Always loved your insights into the industry :)

I disagree with other commentators about short form. The point of your channel as far as I understand it is to provide insight into complex issues and simplify them. Simplification, ironically, requires time and effort. Short form videos would dumb down the content too much. That said, I think this video hits the right balance between brievity and analysis. I would be okay with this form factor as a viewer IF it meant more frequent posts. If it hurts your regular videos' publication, then I think your regular content is better.

One reason I can think of for Apple's lesser acquisitions as compared to others is that due to its closed ecosystem, it is challenging to accommodate and integrate new companies within. The other reason might be that they don't disclose all their acquisitions.

The reason why Google spend 12b on Motorola is not only that they needed patent but they also wanted to showcase their software i.e Android since it wasn't that popular in many market's. Taking about India Motorola made a huge impact with g, e series smartphones which actually paved path for their future. Also it's worth noting that Google had clean Android version in moto as compared to samsung which had every single copy of default Google application so ultimately it made people love stock Android which we can see benifited one plus, moto as well as pixel in the future. So I personally think it was a huge success for Google not economically but strategically.

@@OmDahake compared to how many companies Microsoft bought just 2 being not successful is still great number despite Microsoft really invested hard on both Nokia and Skype so "they did nothing" statement is wrong. They are the company at the end and need to make money. They invest hard but there is a limit you can do without a profit. Billions of investment and not a profit so you just give up on the project.
