Fun fact: many of the episodes are filmed in and around Toronto. The ice show was filmed at the Oshawa Tribute Center. The hotel / convention center scene was filmed at Homewood Suites by Hilton in Ajax.

The sister sage arc is the one great thing about this season opening. Starlight and A-train arcs are good not great, Billy and mothers milk, and homelander and ryan arcs aren’t quite what i expected. The Hughie Mom and Frenchie’s new romance are boring, and simply the arcs that shouldnt be this far ahead of the show. Hope the rest of the season picks up

The subtlety of the previous seasons have been completely heavy handed in this season that makes it kind of awkward and out of character for some characters like Homelander. Like it's in character for him, but the dialouge is so cheeky, if you know what I mean. Still fantastic so far, but feels a little diffrent from the last 3 seasons

slow burner this season - im guessing it will be more of the same (more story less action) - season 5 will be the opposite spoilers: I can't see Black Noir being a clone of Homelander now (it could easily be done still, in so many ways). my theory is that they've used Ryan as Homelander's clone, so the idea is there, just executed differently from the comic - maybe in season 5, Butcher is cured, 10 years go by, Ryan disguises himself as Black Noir (going back to the ending of the comics). or I really hope this happens - Soldier Boy comes back of Black Noir at the end of season 5 and Kills Homelander Soldier Boy was too good of a character to not make another appearance

Every season is the same. Butcher does something selfish and reckless then falls out with the rest of the team, Butcher helps them, they all become friends again. Hughie starts off every season as the same whiney cuck he was in the pilot then becomes a little more confident then reverts to his former self by the season finale. MM is still the same insecure middle age man he was at the beginning and 4 seasons in his entire personality is still being an angry black guy. Frenchie and Kimiko's relationship continues to go absolutely nowhere and is just a never ending loop of Frenchie trying to "help her" and Kimiko insisting that she doesn't need his help. Starlight always promises to lead some revolution against Vaught but always gets demoted to a background character that does nothing and acts as if she is morally superior to everyone. Every season Ryan warms up to Butcher then hates him and defects to Homelander then changes his mind to liking Butcher again. Every season we're promised that Homelander is gonna be Injustice Superman and every season we see Homelander talk a big game but never really do anything more outrageous than anything he did in season 2. Every season they tease a redemption arc for A-Train only for him to continue being a sociopathic scumbag. The same lame humiliation arc for the Deep over and over again. This show is completely overrated and is only popular because of Antony Starr's performance as Homelander and become it started airing when the mcu begun to lose steam.

@@Wishmaster787 There is a lot of truth to this. Still a fan of the show, but it's lost the "blow-me-away-wow-factor" it initially had. Soldier Boy was the best character and now apparently will not be in this season. MM sucks, Annie is annoying now and not even that attractive anymore. Firecracker *could* have been good, but they're writing her like a moron. Kripke doesn't know where to go with this. I know it loosely follows the comic version, but the whole "left vs right" thing is cartoonish.

I’m still really excited for this season but honestly something feels off while still being surprising. Frenchie and kimiko’s arc feels weird but I get we need drama and I’m interested in seeing where that goes. The butcher thing with Ryan seems rushed to me since last we left off Ryan hated him. and sister sage must be more than the brains behind Homelander’s ops and instead creating her own plan. I think these three episodes have more to them than it feels, or at least I hope so.

@@waymonstoltz5001 exactly and it's been happening since season 1 but it's kinda understandable because in comic's practically everyone in the show that's alive tbh homlander killed very easily so everything would be super Short in the show if if no diff everyone but they way they doin it kinda yh showing plot armor so I really hope they let homlander loose completely in season 5 zero holding back all that

@@rookierocksolid8536 it wasn't forced whatsoever, they both realized a relationship between the two of them wouldn't work out so she becomes more of a sister instead of a lover you can see this development as you watch the show. Frenchie has a history with this dude that much is clear so I guess we'll see how that goes, and believe it or not but straight isn't "default settings" so you shouldn't be surprised if a character likes the same gender

Biggest problem with Sister Sage's character is the writers themselves aint NOWHERE NEAR smart enough to pull off making her character shine in any way. I mean, NOTHING she's said or done or advised anyone to do so far was in any way highly intelligent. Even her observations about Homelander were basic and something your average Psychology 101 student at any college in the world could write an entire paper on...😂

I mean, hell, the RISKIEST thing she advised people to do was murder other people, including someone closely connected to their adversaries (The Boys) who she also ordered killed, and both ended up failing, the first because as 'smart' as she is, she couldn't foresee there being video surveillance footage of the two clowns she picked to be the fall guys for the murders where they couldn't possibly be if they'd committed the murders. And, of course, the hit on The Boys she ordered Firecracker and Splinter to commit failed because she was too DUMB to realize those two Goobers weren't up to the task. Sister Sage is the DUMBEST Super Brained character I've ever seen outside of an ACTUAL fucking parody of the trope.

The ONLY way they save her character is if all these failures are a purposeful strategy by Sister Sage to sabotage Homelander. We'll see if, even if that's true, whether she's 'smart' enough to avoid having her wig peeled back by Homelander's psychotic Heat Ray Blasts...😂😂😂
