This was very entertaining and what a view, you lucky dog. Framers are fearless with heights and I reckon your scaffold will be completely worth the two hundred dollars - hope you used screws. Thanks for letting us know price of Prince George 2x6x16 is about $17.70 including gst and maybe pst. Keep the kids, you will need them later, Graham.

Depending on how close those Pine trees are, I think you could use a rope to cross over your build and use another rope looped over it to use as a safety line. I've done this in tree removals where the tree we were removing was unsafe to climb

Hey man, just a few tips from a framer. Put x bracing on all sides of the foundation piers. That will take care of any wiggle you might have. The bracing you have now only supports front to back. Not side to side. The bracing needs to go from the bottom of one post and all the way to the top of the other. There's no flex in the piers that way. And double top plate your walls. Looking good though. Keep at it.

I've always enjoyed watching your construction projects. You seem to be in your element. You do great work. You don't mind showing your humanness by making small mistakes like I make as well. Any updates on your other builds such as the mobile bar and the teardrop camper? Did you sell the mobile bar and sleep in the camper overnight? Did you ever sell the mobile cabin? Appreciate all that you do. I've actually learned a thing or two from your videos.

My dad didn't allow pine trees within falling distance of the house but he had a big water oak twenty feet off the corner of the house on the summertime afternoon side. You'll know if you got chiggers. Little red dots. I got them as a kid playing in the woods. We used hot showers as hot as you could stand to get rid of them but if course that was back in the sixties. Sheathing like Advantech would keep the walls from racking. Floor joists

The moment you realize how tall it's actually going to be lol. I had almost exactly the same thing building my cabin. It's a single-pitch roof like your other one 14' on the tall wall, and the high corner is like 6' above grade. Shortened the whole thing 2' after the initial "holy crap, its tall" moment.

I've walked through a nest of ticks before. I picked off at least a dozen of the buggers before they attached themselves. Walking on a Missouri trail I managed to brush up against a nest of several hundred chiggers. Chiggers are no-seeums. The only evidence of their presence is several hundred red spots on your skin, and an insane itch that will drive you to do incredibly crazy things to relieve the itching. Can you say Calamine lotion? I knew you could. Calamine is a reasonably priced pink lotion that gradually smothers the chiggers. The chiggers bore under your skin. The itch is incredible. The Calamine also soothes the itch while it smothers the little devils. There's another treatment that contains Caladryl. It's pink also and costs 3 times as much as Calamine lotion. Rubbing alcohol will burn them up and you too. Only use it if you are tempted to jump off a cliff. I hope that's helpful. Vaughn
