Thanks for the matchup analysis, I've always thought Bravo was Katsu's hardest matchup. After this, now I think i got better chance against my next Bravo

At 9 minutes you talk about the block on surging and there's a few ways to play it, the way I personally like playing it is I'll generally give the surging 1 card and then let you have a trigger, and block whelming for 5. I find with this bravo setup it's pretty possible to gas katsu out so letting them get a little chip and discard but stopping the really important on hit works nicely.

Anothos for sure. The value Bravo can get is just so good. Especially late game.

You should’ve arsenal the be like water I think after the choke slam. He had no incentive to block it unless he had a redundant card. There was no blowout you could do with only 2 cards left and chokeslam crushed

His incentive to block is preventing katsu trigger into a potential bonds line. Arsenaling the blw would have gave him too much tempo. You can’t pass a turn against a bravo you just lose. When I play BLW with two in hand. He has to respect it. Simply kodachiing x2 into descendent would only force one block since I can't pump it from Chokeslam. Using the BLW and then threatening mask with descendant forced two required blocks from Bravo.

@@TCGTALKYT you couldn’t bonds with only 2 cards left in hand. It would’ve ended up being a redundant card and pitched for plating iirc

You also could’ve blocked 10 on the CNC pummel. He would’ve been 1 card inefficient. And you would’ve kept d react in arsenal

I couldn’t block 10 on the cnc with a d react in hand and in arsenal. I had a sink, soulbead, dishonor, mugenshi in hand. I have 9 block in hand if I threw everything unless I throw equipment which I don't want to do I need to save that for a crush effect card that is more impactful. If I block 10 there with boots, I get time walked by star struck later and likely lose. Blocking 6/discarding at least allows me to throw damage back and keep decent life parody.

@@TCGTALKYT true true. I think the arms block earlier was incorrect and should’ve just been a 3 block. And then you still would’ve had 1 more with equip after blocking 10. You would’ve had sink in arsenal and in hand, which I think is more valuable than 1 block on equip and soulbead in arsenal.

If you knew he was going to block. Why not fluster fist for 1 damage over the top. Why waste a hundred winds and GA in the deck?

Because I want to save my flusters for a breakpoint late game when he is out of armor and has to give more to live. Which is exactly what happened with the soulbead lol. Especially with breeze still up. Keeping those breakpoints in deck is crucial for a late game kill turn.

@@TCGTALKYT interesting. I can see it. It’s just hard for me to give up a guaranteed GA for late game. I think it’s easier to push the 1 damage now, and keep the possible GA for late which can also push a break point with multiple hundred winds. Not sure if either way is strictly better tbh
