I know KAT is not currently 32. Maybe it was confusing, but what I was saying was that WHEN Ant is 25 (he's 22 right now) and KAT and Rudy are declining...Ant will have had 4 years of winning and playoff experience that will have formed him greatly. I am a Wolves fan. I DO NOT THINK KAT IS 32 RIGHT NOW LMAO. Gotten a lot of comments thinking that. Also, if you'd like to follow me on twitter here's my handle: twitter.com/Matt_Throne

It's depressing. The pain in Cade's eyes. Kid does not deserve the incompetence of our front office. He'll leave, so will Duran and Ausar and I hope they all go on to be contributors on title contenders like KCP and Khris. These lads do not deserve the hell that is my Pistons.

But like ... having 3 really good players that you're worried about leaving surely indicates that the front office hasn't done a terrible job, right? When Monty told Gores he didn't want to coach this year - Gores should have taken "no" for an answer. Instead Monty doubled down and threw the money bag at Monty. So now we have a coach who still "doesn't want to coach this year" - but "is coaching" because he couldn't say no to all that money. Freaking eh!

Honestly, it’s a Monty Williams thing right now. He wasn’t a good coach in Phoenix and was masked by having an elite roster. Any coach would’ve won 60+ games with those Suns teams. But Monty was the ultimate reason the Suns didn’t win the championship. He had poor defensive schemes, like constantly going for single coverage against guys like Giannis, Luka and Jokic. On top of this, he didn’t utilize his best players. In his last playoff series with the team, he was electing to play a mediocre Landry Shamet and some guy named Ish Wainwright (???) over guys like Terrence Ross and TJ Warren. He had an 8-0 record with KD and Okogie starting together, and what did he do when the playoffs started? Moved Okogie to the bench. The Pistons have tried to surround Cade with solid players. They’ve added Jaden Ivey to be his running mate, Bojan Bogdanovic is a good veteran and scoring presence to have around, they’ve got a large stock of young big men, etc. And what has Monty been doing? Electing to start Killian Hayes alongside Cade Cunningham, which makes zero sense in any universe.

@@hardwood_yt I’m a die hard suns fan. I love Monty to death. With his story and the adversity he faced, he should legitimately have a movie made about him. Because the basketball fan in me hates him. But the human in me wants him elected president of the United States. It feels like he’s used his position to elevate guys into a life of getting paid NBA money who maybe wouldn’t have it or last much longer. Ish Wainwright had no business being in the NBA but Monty ensured he got paid. Landry Shamet is mediocre as a player and doesn’t belong anymore, but I’m certain Monty endured he got paid. With Killian he sees a kid who got drafted too high and is being destroyed from a reputation standpoint, and Monty is giving him chances. I hate the coaching version of him, but he’s a special type of human. It felt like he knew Phoenix’s championship window closed so he made his priority getting dudes paid, which I can respect. Because he also did try his best to get them a title. It Monty’s biggest blunders in Phoenix were that he went for single coverage against 3 of the NBA’s top 10 players, which was a mistake.

You wanna know the crazy part. I watched the highlights and the one thing I noticed the most is that they had the lead once. They tied it multiple times. Had multiple shots to take the lead, and it seemed insurmountable. Pretty much losing to a bench is the most embarrassing thing I’ve heard of and to be on a streak like this that rivals Lebron leaving a hopeless cavs team, and a tanking 76ers team. This isn’t planned losing, and this isn’t a lost team. This is a young team and they are already looking like they need to blow it up.

Troy Weaver is indeed this bad of a GM. He's shown it on a consistent basis he's incompetent. Monty has also shown time over time he's not that good of coach, when you have a mediocre coach who doesn't want to coach, doing it basically just because of money this is what happens, plain and simple. I get that he's got 3 of the worst players in the league in Wiseman, Bagley and Stewart, but he's the one that insists on starting Stewart on a consistent basis, regardless of the fact that everyone can see it's an absolute disaster.

“Slowly ruining Cade Cunningham”….maybe Cade isn’t the guy! You draft a player high because you’re typically not a good team and you’re banking on that guy/gal to play a major role in reversing your fortunes…..maybe he’s just not that guy.

i know. i didnt say that. Re-listen to what I was saying. Ant is 22 right now. WHEN he is 25, and Kat is then 32 and rudy is a shell of his former self, these 4 years of winning and experience in the playoffs will have shaped him greatly. I was speaking in the future.

Okay Alex I ll take worst teams in NBA History for 500. Yeah its rough for the fans. I remember when the Toronto Raptors first started out, but you knew in a few years they would get much better. By 2000 Vince Carter played on a powerhouse team, If his ego had not interfered with his business sense, they could have been a championship team much earlier than they had. Detroit would need a major house cleaning. New coach, new staff, with a new winning attitude. It will take years but it can be done. Or?? move the team to Seattle? or Las Vegas? and forget Detroit as the Clippers did with Buffalo

He forced the Monty Williams hire, Troy Weaver built the team for a coach that coaches young players like Kevin Ollie and Gores over rode that decision to give A Coach that didn’t want to coach the biggest contract in history just for him to bench and ruin the confidence of this young core.. The starting Line up should be Cade, Ivey, Ausar, Bojan, and Duren with Killian and Stewart coming off the bench, and Sasser getting more minutes and livers and Burks getting less minutes

In basketball and football it's overrated to be a top 10 pick. Mostly because you're going to trash bad culture losing organizations that put all the pressure on you to turn them around. Then when inevitably the poor culture and losing becomes insurmountable they call you a bust. But hey you got a big signing bonus right? It's better to be a late rounder coming into a winning org.
@EagleLegend502

Name a team who collected lottery picks and built a championship with all young prospects on their team. It doesn’t happen. Anyone who understands basketball understands this team would be bad. Obviously the front office needs to go. They need to pick 2-3 young talent players and trade or waive the rest. They need veterans who understand winning. It’s too late on the season. They might beat the Raptors coming up. My Raptors are horrible. Then need to trade players for shooting to build around Barnes the only difference is they have Siakim, OG, and Trent Jr who should be coveted by other teams. Most the Pistons players aren’t coveted by anyone else the couple they want to keep of course.
@obi3924
@obi3924 4 ай бұрын
As a pistons fan, I promise you this team will not beat the raptors 😂. I’m convinced at this point that they can’t even beat the spurs. After this game that they just lost against the jazz with 8 rotational players not playing, they’re not gonna beat a team for a long time unless the coach is fired and the roster is changed
