Thank you very much. Indeed, this was a stressful phase in the build but I had stressed more about it before than during the process... I guess there's a lesson there. :) Looking to empty these sprues soon!

@@PointBlankModelling I built the Hasegawa 32nd scale P-40 years ago. That came with a 1 piece clear windscreen + the panels directly in front of the windscreen. To get it to fit the fuselage right, some sanding was required on the the lower seam where there were also recessed rivets. The sanding wiped those out and adding them back in was no fun because the clear part was brittle and the rivets very close to the edge. I ended up with a few stress cracks and some missing bits that crumbled loose from the rivets. In the end I made it work. Fast forward to the day before an IPMS show and it was finally time to remove the canopy masking...which is where I found 2 huge cracks going right through the clear section. Needless to say the P-40 sat out that years show. Got a replacement part from customer service a nd successfully performed the needed surgery.

Nightmare fuel! I'm glad you could get a replacement canopy for your Warhawk. I feel an urge now to go check the Mi-2's windshield for cracks that may have appeared overnight...
