I always felt that Wekapipo was unjustly wronged. His duel with his sisters husband was already sanctioned by the church, meaning Gregorio had no moral right to intervene at that point. Instead he shamefully attacked Wekapipo because of the amount of influence Wekapipo's late brother-in-law's family had in Naples, making it more about one's influence rather than what was right. In all honesty, Wekapipo trying to kill Gyro would've accomplished nothing as Gregorio would not have cared. The only thing Gregorio ever seemed to care about was his profession.

If it means anything, I've always interpreted the Wekapipo v. Gyro fight more so as Wekapipo trying to prove something to himself. He clearly never wants to hit rock bottom like he did right after the duel, with nowhere to go and no duty to follow, so of course he'd take on Valentine's offer; not only was Valentine basically willing to give him everything he wanted, he had a very good chance of success due to his familarity with the Zeppeli technique. He just happened to be in the right place at the right time to fight Gyro, and at that point he probably didn't care about what he had to do in order to achieve that. As for Gregorio - seeing as how there were other people around who were in on the plan to exile Wekapipo anyways, I'd say it was probably internal corruption on a much larger scale than just his brother in-law's family and the Zeppelis.

Great video. Just one thing. Spin users can see stands. Gyro was the first person to notice Tomb of the Boom even before Johnny. I think Araki also said that Spin and Hamon can be stepping Stones to acquiring a stand. Wekapipo definitely seems to react to D4C as well putting his arms in a defensive stance to protect himself from D4C.

Maybe if you can use Spin or Hamon you can sense Stands. Like you can't physically see them but you can kind of tell there's a presence.

Tevo3000 naw you are 100% correct in my opinion. Spin is probably more useful than hamon/ripple. Heck you need to keep breathing just to use it. No air no ripple/hamon/hermit purple that can't be seen yet but all hamon user have for some jojing reason. So yeah I'd rather have the spin than hamon, can't brush my teeth with breathing.

Wekapipo was a great character but I have some issues. He was a competent character but in the D4C arc, all of a sudden he had to rely on Diego (who had less combat experience than him) while fighting Valentine. It was like he was just killed off to make Diego's character seem more important. It worked but I wouldn't consider it to be good writing. Meti, I want your thoughts on this.
