Just finished Free Bastards! The Series Is consistently solid probably the best 3rd book Iv read in a series since Last Argument

Just finished Black Stone Heart, reading Kings of the Wyld and Empire of the Vampire now. Grey Bastards, Kings of Paradise and Priest of Bones are next on my list!

Really gotta finally pick this series up again and do a re-read. Still haven't read The Free Bastards, but Grey Bastards & True Bastards are awesome books. If book three holds up, this is easily one of my top 10 fantasy series.

With the demise in quality of movies and tv series, great written storytelling and character development is really a breath of fresh air.

Thank you for expanding on the Sons reference. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Sons of Anarchy but I didn’t want to read the same story again. That did deter me from reading this.

Your previous Empire of the Vampire review was the final nudge to get me to read it. I read it in 3 days and I loved it. so, of course, this review made me pause the video and go check it out. Amazon has a four chapter sample, but the 1st chapter convinced me. I borrowed the ebook from the library and and got up to chapter 5 before I returned to watch the rest of your review and comment. I agree with all that you said about the humor, the d*** jokes, the hogs, the pacing. I do like the characters and am looking forward to reading the rest (after I finish the other book I was already reading.) Thanks! 👍🏾

This has been in my TBR for while. I will get to it next year.

This is also on my TBR but its gonna be a while before I get to it. I been hearing some people complain about the new cover art as opposed to the original. But overall I heard its pretty solid. I have never hear that Sons Of Anarchy reference about the books. I never got a chance to watch that show (heard good things about it) but I will get to it eventually. P.S. So, I just finished this book. It was ok, more like a three star out of five book. I enjoyed the second half of the book more than the first half. I don’t think I want to continue the series.

I liked this book when it came out, but then I had an interaction with the author. He's fucking nuts. He had a different opinion than me politically and told me to fuck off. Literally. I still have the DM on Twitter.
