I agree time is an illusion Russ. Also, I've been sober 4 years on Jan 31st and mate it's the best decision I ever made. Gus should make a channel called "The Gus bus" and just document his own time on this mission and whatever travels he does after this.

They may have done this or someone may have commented this already but it would be interesting for Russ to rank or name the most important supplies for the mission. Doesn’t have to be all of them but a handful. Also, things he’s picked up now that he wish he had at the beginning of the mission.

By all appearances: Diesel, shoes, ridiculous amounts of shipping-dense, known-safe shelf-stable calories (They're using Huel for this and if I recall have said this logistics setup wouldn't work without Huel or something similar, because it would take at least one whole other support vehicle and two more people just to deal with food sourcing, transport and prep).

I absolutely love how great Gus is at interacting with locals; He has a natural ability to put people at ease, and encourages them to be proud of their work and culture. His use of most European languages and some African languages certainly helps. Well done Gus! ❤ And keeping stomping Russ 🏃‍♂️🤩

NordVPN is literally spyware. I don't get why people think linking all their internet activity to their name and credit card and handing it to a business is anonymous. Takes a proper computer engineer and your own servers run a VPN privately.

Great episode. As someone who has studied Mande music at university last year, the inclusion of traditional Kora background music as you’re in the country of Guinea which has such an incredibly rich Mande music tradition, was a lovely touch!

Can't you upload your content (videos, photos, etc) to a shared drive (dropbox, fileserver, etc) and someone from your team outside the country posts on your behalf? Not ideal but for the next 1000 km it will work!
