Meet this owner and his beautiful car in Chicago at the muscle car and corvette nationals. He let my 8 year old son sit in this car and get some pictures. Made both of our days. That 8 hour drive there was worth it . Thank you Mr Jennings

Very nice. I think you had said in the past you like the Daytona's better than the Superbirds. Funny thing and as you know dealers had a hard time selling these back in the day when they were new.

Don't know about nowadays , but back when that car was new Indiana called that little stunt " an exhibition of speed and power " . It fell in the reckless driving category and I think was good for eight points against your license , out of a possible twelve , same as getting a " speed contest " ticket .

0:55 That's a tribute 1971 Charger Daytona. The Chrysler wing cars still only won fourteen races to Ford/Mercury thirty-seven. Bobby Isaac did win the championship in 1970. He won no races that year in a wing car. All his wins came on short tracks.

Few of the wing cars actually left the dealership with rear axle gearing that would allow these cars to reach their potential top speeds.

I was the owner he is talking about, I was not 17 years old and Race mothers is not in Toledo it in Marion county Ohio. I took those photos in the drive way and in the snow as the original owner a fi put those stickers on the car.

A follow up from original owner, the car was made like out of spare parts, basically it was junk, made to look like something great. I traded in a new 442 olds 4 on the floor Herst shifter, for this car. After this car I purchased a 454 corvette, that was a 100 times better car.
