The History of Chippewa Lake Park in Ohio -- Rare Footage!

Жыл бұрынChippewa Lake Park operated for 100 years before it closed in 1978. After the park's closing many of the rides were left where they were, and some of them even remain today. The most famous of these are the Tumble Bug and the Ferris Wheel. This video takes a look at what is left as well as some one-of-a-kind vintage video from the park.

That's so cool! I dont think I've ever seen a video of the iconic ferris wheel actually moving back in the day. Makes it even more surreal to look at now.

I don't remember going to Chippewa Lake Park but the radio advertisement still plays in my head "CHIPPEWA LAKE PARK WOO--WOO-WOO Indian Style.. " WHLO radio 640..

A friend of mine was a volunteer fireman in the area, and told me about fighting the fire when the ballroom burned down, in the mid 80s.
