I like this Top 3. I want to know more about Jack. He seemed so ok with not getting a golden ticket. Then he stayed his course come what may. Knowing your value is awesome! He’s my fave, and we’ll see.

I like all three finishers, but when I hear Jack sing and find myself awash in his sunshine radiation, I have to say that charisma wins the show. A.merican Idol has rarely been about the best singer (whatever that means) for most of its existence; it's about the best singing performer. That's Jack. Jack Swagger doing the Jack Attack. I wouldn't pay money for Abi and Will--good though they are. They're not exciting, though they are occasionally touching. I would enrich Jack's pocket, though, because he amuses me, he stirs me up, he speaks to me so that I know I'm not listening to or watching the quotidian. Can't explain it better. That boy should win just so we can watch as he becomes someone even more special!

I think every contestant should be as gracious as Jack was when he was given a “no” at his audition. It is very hard to hear criticism of something so personal and to thank the judges for the feedback in that moment without being offended. It shows maturity. I’m glad he eventually changed his mind and adjusted his expressions, but didn’t lose his uniqueness. Now it is a balance, not a distraction to his sound. He deserves to win with Abby second.

When you close your eyes and lean back and listen that's when you really hear Jack's skill. He's the only one that left me wanting to hear more. He leaves me with a peaceful easy feeling.

Jack makes me smile and want more every single song he sings, AND I want to see him live on stage. Abi, to me, sounds like so many others. She's got an amazing voice, and a potentially huge career ahead of her, no doubt, but to me she's just like all the rest of those huge voices and the never interested me. Jack however, he connects, he plays with his voice in a easy that I want to hear more, it intrigues, and as you said, I'm in his world when he's on stage. Will, he's great, I lime him and his voice and he too has a career there if he goes for, but I feel like I heard it all before. I would have loved to see Triston in the top 3. But he's still so very young and he's got a future too. Emmy, she's coming out of her shell, out of the shadow of being constantly judged. When she steps out fully, she'll have a career too. But still, Jack is the only one I want to see live, avd it's his album in looking forward to.

I love Jack. I finally put my finger on who he reminds me of and that is Jerry Lee Lewis. He really can sing and has such charisma. He got that it thing you just recognize when you see it

Will doesn't have a lot of warmth/soul/depth. He's a big dude who can sing but hides his emotion. I think Abi & Jack have shown amazing versatility throughout. Nothing cookie cutter about either one of them! But, Abi has been my favorite from day one!❤️

Maybe it's the idol machine, but I think the contestants are molded into glamorized role players. I miss the youthfulness of Abi. Kiddos to Jack for remaining who he's always been and just showcasing his voice.

Abi showed that she has a great Broadway or Disney voice. She is multi-talented and can deliver in many genres. The other two are much more limited.

Jack is by far my fav but Abi has grown into her own strongly. I did not care for her in beginning but I actually wished her into the top 3. I find I dont always go for the girls but my favs list this year had 2 girls and one left already. 😞 Go Jack!

Abi is gorgeous with a voice to match but she's like a beauty pageant entry in a sea of never ending beautiful and talented entries. Cookie cutter standard. Same with Will. Talented but no sauce. He's a standard country singer and we have too many of them now. A dime a dozen. Now Jack is refreshing. He sounds to the beat of a different drum and most of America is dying for something new and unique. We're begging for change in ALL catagories!

I think Abi and Jack had really clear and dynamic auditions where people were kookoo bananas and they haven't been any different the whole way through. Will had the viewers from day one and he never veered away from the sauce. I was a KB and Makenna fan but I'm not surprised about the final 3. Will could win.

This is Idol not The Voice. Jack is the most entertaining to watch. He's got the whole package. I'm really pulling for him to win. He makes me smile every time. I agree with you on Ground Control to Major Ton. Not the best song choice... but he's still my fave. Regardless, of the order.... they have the fan base and platform to go far if they really want it. Although, after the show they can easily be forgotten if they stop ridding the wave.

Yo, I think it would be REALLY cool if you went back and re-watched your season of American Idol and gave your point of view as to what happened, and how you felt during each performance. Would especially be interesting comparing the differences between then and now. I've been rewatching your season recently and just thought maybe it'd be really cool if you did that. Abi maybe the best singer of them all, but a bit to perfect : and Will has unique voice; but Jack with his “weird but lovable * facial expressions and kind eyes and boyish look won me over from day one. He peaks at the right time too with songs choices. They all are great singers! Best to them all! However, my other 2 favorites had been eliminated early, Jayna & McKenzie

The Disney show was a big letdown for me, because half of the songs were only vaguely related to Disney. Born to Be Wild, Life is a Highway, Space Oddity, and The Chain. When I hear "Disney themed show," I'm thinking of songs from Aladdin, Mulan, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and so forth. The classics.

I feel validated, because you said things tonight that I said last week (although you may have worded it better 🙂) about Abi’s vocals vs Jack’s performance. Also, that I have felt disconnected from Triston for awhile when he was such an early favorite. I did want to address two things: I think Will will have a strong career, even though I dont think he should win. And Emmy - I think having the wonderful Loretta as her grandmother could have hurt her. I’ve seen people making such rude comments and acting like she brought up Loretta non-stop. I think Emmy is quite different and has such a sweet tone. When she did sing Loretta’s song, it sounded like such a personal message to grandma, not like she was trying to ride her coat tails. I liked her a lot, even though she wasn’t a front runner to me.

I want Will to be a story teller when he sings!

Those were the three I picked for my top 3. I would love to see Abi win I think vocal wise she’s the best of them. But Jack really has a strong backing and will the country vote so it’s gonna be tough for her. We will see next week

Jack and Abi are the Top 2 we've deserved all season! Kaibrienne as 3rd > Will but, as Luke always beats the dead horse, he's "solid". Top 12-7 or so. Hopefully he's 3rd place. Just SUCHHHH a relief that Emmy finally left. That took WAY too long. "The Climb" was a disaster. Triston petered out too, but he seemed shocked? Lol. Kids. While I love Jack and he is my #1 favorite, maybe the vicegrip they have on winners...idk Abi might benefit from the guidance more, whereas Jack's independent. Plus she's the strongest female contender in ages. Meghan was close, but Iam was a juggernaut. I REALLY hope they do a "reprise" round, so that both of them can potentially sing their audition songs again. I would love to hear Abi sing "What Was I Made For?" and Jack to do "I Was Wrong". Will already reprised his @ Top 20 results, so maybe he can redo his HW song..With these three though, one thing's for sure: It'll at least be a high-caliber, quality finale.

I love Will, but I thought that was his worst performance of the season. I think he made it through because that was really his only bad performance of the season and he was still leaps and bounds better than Emmy. Emmy, on the other hand, had overstayed her welcome for me. She should have been gone months ago. Her nerves annihilated her vocals weak in and week out. That being said, her singles on Apple Music are actually quite nice and easy to listen to. If she sang like that on the live shows then I wouldn’t have minded her being there in the top 5. It’s been great watching Jack’s journey and Abi is blossoming into a real star. Hated to see Tristan go. I voted for him for Top 3.

Funny that Idina Mendel was on hand because that’s who Abi reminds me of.

Every year some will claim "talent is great this year" or "talent is weak this year." People inevitably insist the best vocalists or most marketable contestants are voted off the show. As someone who was fortunate enough to see a live show this year (and over the last few years), I believe that each of the three finalists could put on a very entertaining show. Each contestant offers different things but they each have something special. I am personally rooting for Jack. But Abi deserves to win and Will seems like such a nice guy, no one should begrudge him, should he win.

My voice coach told me to pretend I have a hole coming out of my forehead when belting. I didn't understand it, but the next note I sung came out insanely easy.
