Jewish convert Roy Schoeman said the Shema can also be translated as "Obey, O Israel, the Lord your God ALONE."

I appreciate you greatly Dr. Pitre, but the more effective way to think about this and explain this (oneness in Christ while being diverse with Him) is to think of any person with a bunch of different thoughts and characteristics. Some can teach, some can prophesize, etc. but we all share the same mind and heart with Christ (or at least we should). In addition, two different people can be blessed with the same gift for teaching and yet have two different teaching styles to go with their mind and heart with the Lord. It's like the synoptic gospels, three different perspectives on the same things. None are right or wrong when compared to the others, they are just slightly different due to the personal diversity. I am THEIST which means..... (Theist - a person who believes in the existence of a god or gods, specifically of a creator who intervenes in the universe. ALL RELIGIONS) > I am definitely human, but I have a very early version of the human brain (I actually believe that there is an invisible flying wizard in the sky). > I have to pray for things because I am not capable of achieving anything myself. > I am not capable of making a decision on my own - God makes my decisions for me. > I am not capable of taking responsibility - God takes responsibility for me. If I Fxxx up, it's Gods fault, never my fault! > I am not capable of understanding Science. But my God says it don't matter cos God knows all the answers. (Ok, he was wrong about the witches, but we Theists only slaughtered a few hundred thousand before we stopped...) > I am 100% arrogant about what I know, even though 6.5 BILLION people say I'm wrong. I speak with God (don't you know), of course I'm always right. > I am ridiculously ignorant of the things I do not know. That’s the heresy of Modalism. In the West it was called Sabellianism; in the East, equivalent Patripassianism, which are both forms of theological modalism. Please read the Athanasian Creed, it gives a good summation of Christian true doctrine against the falsifications. God bless your journey.

3 persons in 1 nature, the nature of God. This is the Revelation of Jesus, who came from Heaven. The Catholic Church was given the authority to understand the Word made Flesh in Christ Jesus, when Our Lord Jesus established His Church on Peter. Our Lord will be with Her till the end of Time. As our Brother mentioned abt the heresy of Sabellinism, so the Church has pronounced the error of it. "Unless you become like children, you cannot enter the Kingdom of God." Jesus is the the Way, Truth and Life", and He has established His Church to carry on His Ministry through Time. As Catholics, we are children who have to learn her Faith from Holy Mother Church and we have the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Living Authority of St Peter, Pope Francis, to maintain unity amongst 1.2 billion Catholics around the world. ....many of whom have fallen away and are danger of losing their souls for all ETERNITY. We do not judge anyone but pray that we all REPENT (Repentance is an on going process of maturity and understanding of how much we truly need a Saviour and the Church He has established) and believe in the Gospel. May Our Blessed Mother Mary lead us all into a more profound appreciation of the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Holy Eucharist "to taste and see that the Lord is good." Psalm.

The truth, the light and the way.. God, Jesus Christ and the Holy ghost/spirit.. One in the same, three in one, Father God, Holy ghost, And Jesus Christ his son.. The trinity is correct to our understanding, if any human could understand God/the trinity in a singular sense it would not be as unique and defining as a feature of God.. We are singular beings, with at most a dualistic nature taking into account those who are religious or spiritual and even still that falls short at the understanding as a dual being could not know a triple natured being no matter how hard we try.. I've got bored trying to make my initial comment easy to understand now.. Its either Gott or not..

The earky Church Fathers never used the word "Persons" when talking about the Trinity because the word would mean three independant egos. You should use the word, "Members," when talking about the Trinity. The Trinity is NOT 1+1+1=1, which is bad math. The Trinity IS 1x1x1=1.

The One God is "super-Personal." Think: does God know Himself? Of course He does. But God's knowledge of Himself is NOT any less than Himself. He cannot have inadequate self-knowledge. So, since He is a Person, His knowledge of Himself is also a Person. Since He is alive, His knowledge of Himself is also alive, and is His Only-Begotten Son, Begotten through the chaste generation of His Mind. The Father and Son love each other. Their Love is equal to Themselves and so is also a living Divine Person: the Holy Ghost. One God in Three Divine Persons, above our human understanding.

How is *_SALVATION_* gifted to man? We have to repent for all the unholy, lawless transgressions of God’s commandments done willfully or unknowingly, in order to obtain mercy and grace so that we might not be judged and fall into condemnation, the condemnation of eternal hell. 📖 Acts.3:19 says,..✔️Repent, then, and turn to GOD, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the LORD. What is *CONFESSION* of sins? 👉 *_CONFESSION_* ! The guilt of sin and it’s condemnation is rolled away if one truly regrets his sinful past and confesses them in the presence of Jesus Christ. 📖Romans.10:9 &10 ✔️That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. 📖 1 John, 1st chapter & verse 9 says.. ✔️If we confess our sins, He (Jesus Christ) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins(every sin)... A SPIRIT - who is the Father - is there with Jesus ("God is a spirit"). "HOLY" is the name given by Jesus to that "SPIRIT", in order to be able to identify Him. That "Spirit" would have no name otherwise! Only THAT SPIRIT (the Father) is there, NO FURTHER SPIRIT IS WITH JESUS! "Father" (who is a spirit) and "Holy Spirit" are thus just two EQUIVALENT names: no third divine person exists. If you wish you can replace the name "Holy Spirit" by "Father" wherever it occurs in the gospels (not in the baptismal formula, for another reason).

God the Father created us and the whole world. Jesus Christ is the Son of God who redeemed us by his suffering, death and resurrection. The Holy Spirit, the love between Father and Son, the breath of God in our soul, dwells within us and sanctifies us. Thank God the Holy Trinity for his graces and blessings🙏

@@declancronin437 Not al all, as I explained before, the Holy Spirit is NOT the love between the Father and the Son, He is the FATHER WHO IS A SPIRIT. Jesus states at least fifty times (50) that God is made by 1. the Father and by 2. the Son, NEVER that God is a triune God! For example, " ...they all may be ONE, as you, FATHER, are IN ME, and I in YOU. They also may be ONE in US, so that...." No third person there! You have PROOF of that: the Holy Spirit is with Jesus, but you know that the Father is the ONLY ONE Person with Jesus "I am not ALONE because the Father is with me" (reiterated many times in all different sauces). Therefore, you can IDENTIFY who is the Holy Spirit with Jesus: He is the FATHER (who is a spirit) the ONLY ONE Person there, no one else is with Jesus!

@@claudiozanella256 Isaiah 48:16 “Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me.” .. then can you explain this verse in Isaiah the Son is speaking that the Lord GOD and his Spirit sent him on earth...

@@ibelongtojesusmysaviour9171 The Father (God) and the Spirit of God are not the same, yet they relate to the same One God. The Father only existed "before the creation of the world" (Jn 17:24), this is why NOBODY EVER SAW GOD (Jn 6:46), more than that "the world has not known" God (Jn 17:25) AT ALL! However, from that distant past God is able to be HERE NOW, but just in the form of a spirit (i.e. NOBODY is here). He is the Spirit of God.

@@claudiozanella256 where that is says only the FATHER existed before ? while in john 17:5 Jesus says “And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.” this verse clearly state GOD the Father and Son has existed before the world was.. in john 1:1 also stated Jesus and the Father was in the beginning.. be right with the LORD my brother ask GOD for guidance and wisdom
