Saw the film today in a big screen movie theatre. Loved it! Shirley MacLaine certainly has not lost her acting chops. She is the last of the legendary female movie stars who can still hold her own in a big screen film. The movie is funny, touching, poignant, and reminds all of us that old age and death are just around the corner. Shirley MacLaine makes no attempt to hide her aged face. In fact , Miss MacLaine allows the camera to zoom in on her aged face with all of its wrinkles quite a few times. It's like Miss McClaine is telling us, "yes, I'm old, get over it!"...as the title to her last book suggests. To show a contrast with Miss MacLaine's current age, several pictures of the young Shirley MacLaine come into view several times throughout the film reminding us that all old people were once young, vital and significant. Shirley embraces her age. Go see this film!

This was a wonderful film. I usually like dinosaurs and destruction and car chases. Lol. But this is totally smart and funny. And it held my attention the entire movie. It's well thought out and the actresses and actor did a fantastic job. I give it 10 out of 10. A rare rating for me.

how ironic, I hope she takes the time to rewrite her obituary and find the real God before she dies. There is only one true God and I pray she finds Him before she takes her real last breath.
