When I left the service in 1982, I was living in my Chevy Conversion Van. I lived in my van for about a year, until I finished College. It was one of the best times of my life. I especially remember sleeping so well, when the rain was hitting the roof. Sometimes, I just want to leave and do it again, but I have unfinished responsibilities. I really liked the opening scene, with you and your dog. I lost my best friend about 2 yrs ago. And as that old song Mr Bojangles says, after 10 yrs he still grieves, that's me. Regards, Richard

I love rainy days in general and I love your rainy day videos. It shows the more real side of van life. I drove all over Ontario in my car for 2 weeks armed with nothing more than a sleeping bag, a shitty portable solar panel, and portable gas stove and it was one of the funniest 2 week periods in my entire life. I don't think I can live like that for months at a time but for a couple of weeks at a time is no problem

I retire in Oct and am 2/3 of the way thru my van build. I will be a part timer, hope to do a epic cross country trip to the Olympic Peninsula . Then winters in Fl. and many Blue Ridge mountain getaways.

Today I drove from Ruidoso, New Mexico to Dallas, Texas via HWY 380. Found a small picnic spot on the side of the road and whipped out the drone and took some scenic shots. Still learning the what the drone can do and how to line up and execute scenic flyby shots. Camped out in a Walmart parking lot right now myself. I'm taking the smaller rural roads to actually SEE America instead of just interstate slabbing it everywhere. Lots of ranches in this area of Texas and some of the ranchers have put up giant metal cows along the side of the road but inside their fence lines. And cows. Lots and lots and lots and lots of cows. Cows everywhere. Life is nothing but cows now. Long stretches of road coming down out of the mountains, going up into the hills, and back down into ranch lands with gorgeous vistas everywhere you look. And lots of dead coyotes alongside the road. I'm telling you friend, once they get the border squared away and start allowing cross-border travel again you gotta get down to Texas and out west into the badlands. You might want to visit Cerro Gordo Mine Town in California. It's down a long, winding dirt road that seems to go on forever up into the mountains. The owner runs his own YT channel as well if you haven't seen it already.

I drink chai tea everyday with my morning pancake. Everyday I finish with “THAT... was the best breakfast!” LOL I make my own chai and sometimes I even make a black label chai. Typically there’s an entire shelf on the fridge full of chai bottles. You go boy!

My vanlife died Chrome just as it was getting started. With it the dream, the ride, and the home. R.I.P. Krymson Avenger. Dead on her maiden voyage into urban stealth camping. Used goodwill parking lot and a hospital parking lot. Glad it died upon return home just after it made it back to my family.

I’m definitely a tea guy. I’m one of those for the process people. I get my whole setup for my mornings that I’m up early and I have a sit back and a few small cups and that just sets me up all day and then I have a lighter tea before bed. Just gives me a little comfort :)

Totally understand not every day is an adventure, plus your right, we wouldn't normally film a bland day, but it's real life sometimes , if I were to film myself for the last 3 days, it would mostly be me sat on my sofa lol, apart from going to the supermarket

Depends how strong you like your tea. Leave it in or as I do with many teas is pour the hot water into the mug - then do a quick dip of the bag to colour the water and save the bag to use a couple more times (esp with Peppermint & Liquorice. Am more of a just got water kind of gal (or Tequila lol)

I totally relate. I had to go out of town once take a plane I had to leave my darling boy behind. Suddenly my hand went down to snuggle my baby's head and he wasn't there it was a shocking moment of homesickness I took an earlier flight Much love to you both
