Living full-time in my rolling tiny home has been the best decision of my life. Off-Grid living offers a peace and connection to life that you just can't explain. When i first started van life i build a stealth camper van with the mindset the you had to live a stealth van life and i soon discovered that you can just live the city van life and boondock in the countryside and as long as you are respectful of the backcountry and cities you live in. Stealth van life in not necessary. Be proud of the life you choose to live, Share this van life journey with everyone. Remember Tiny Homes and The whole tiny house lifestyle is very popular and #vanlife is no different. When you don't hide it people will come say hi and ask you questions. The world is more curious than hateful. Well......Welcome to my everyday van life adventures. My name is Chrome Valdez and i travel full-time with Cruz the bulldog. Stay weird everyone and thank you for being here.

I saw a video on KZfaq where a paraplegic guy in a wheelchair has a camper van. He had it designed based on his needs. It was really cool. After his injury he became a photographer.

Thats awesome! (& im just trying to figure out how to do this lifestyle with my 3 older cats.) THATS been my concern & obstacle bc I LOVE my cats & want the freedom of vanlife, but always thought it would be very difficult for them. ( they sleep most of the time now, as they ARE very old, but, I have thought of this as such a huge obstacle. After seeing this man adapt his vanlife build AND make a way for a handicapped wheelchair bound "ex" in it, & NOW, hearing UR story, & U r just as inspired as I am now, I believe YOU can, & will succeed! Best of luck to u! Chrome's "vanlife home tours" REALLY change plps mindsets for the positive! Live ur dream!!!!

My ex and I are like this too. We were married 14 yrs been divorced 7yrs. We are the best of friends and hang out together often. He finally retired from the National Guard but while married he spent 2 and a half yrs in Iraq and was an over the road truck driver as well. We just kinda fell out of love but we still have deep respect for each other. I have Chiari and and Muscular Dystrophy and use a wheelchair full time. My ex is helping me build out my van to run around in and go camping. We are really having a great time getting things ready. Theres all kinds of love in this world...Im so glad this gentleman showed us theirs ❤

I was also wondering about that. I have an ac/dc tv and wondered if it would use less energy on 12v. I don't have that cord, only the a/c plug adapter which says 3amps at 120 volts a/c, which I plug into my inverter. It seems like it would be better to run from my 12v panel.

It’s nice to see he made the accommodations to bring his wife into the van with her wheelchair. He didn’t have to do that but he thought of her and was able to make the accommodations to his bed so the wheelchair could come through the back and then he kept everything so the wheelchair could be strapped down. What an awesome guy. I think most men would not have done that. I want to thank him for that. I said Wife in the post But I think he said she was his ex-wife and for that I think him even more.

He's so kind and I"m glad you interviewed him. He still takes care of his family while transitioning back into his freedom lifestyle and also sounds like he will be going into retirement to really enjoy life! one thing that could help would be to use an electronic pulley system (but he would need more batteries or if there's a way for him to twist the pulley ropes up) for the bed to pull up into the ceiling when ex needs to wheel chair into the motorhome for transportation.

I drive buses like that for a living and I always wondered how cool it would be to convert it to a mobile home. Now I know! Thank you and congrats!

I've got a 34 foot class A-22 yrs old. Had it 3.5 yrs. Travel and camp as I like and whenever. I'm glad I have a inexpensive home base to come home to. Older mobile on a acre. Can park the Rv there. It really is the best for me. Spent my life traveling and never stopping, but it's nice to chill at home and plan the next adventure.

This is one cool gentleman. Very thoughtful about his "ex" and the ability to have access to the interior of his Home on wheels. A lot of ingenuity has gone into his build. I love the fact that he can actually stand upright and walk up and down the aisle. Thank you for sharing your home with us, Serge.
