Love the episode, and I love the theme that I wish they explored more often (they were going to in the sequel trilogy but scrapped the storyline for whatever reason) for the common soldiers in the Empire being victims of their leaders as well, and the clear PTSD that Mayfeld has. Enjoyed the reaction as always and the new hairstyle looks good.

my stormtrooper headcanon is that the empire doesn't invest in teaching them skills like shooting or tactics, nothing that empowers them as a person. they invest in the armor, the material they can reuse, and it's good enough armor that they can actually take some shots. they're not actually dying 100% of the time you've seen them get shot.

Mayfield didn't just drop his smile he lowered his head in submission to Mando showing what he thinks after Mando beat him in the first season. Also the operation cinder was the where the empire turned satellites on the loyal planets for not preventing the emporers death and many innocent died from it and it caused a lot of imperials to defect.

The darksaber shows up in a Clone Wars arc, but its full story is told in Rebels and this show.

The fact that the guys attacking the convoy were trying to blow it up, rather than rob it indicates that those weren't pirates, but some sort of freedom fighters Also, did you get the reference of Fett saying "Let's just say they might recognize my face"? (Remember, he's a clone). Also, that funny bomb that he dropped was a seismic charge. His father used them against Obi-Wan in Attack of the Clones.

If you didn't know already, the season 2 finale has a mid-credit scene which I missed when I first watched it.

He’s going to kill me) [Stormtrooper walks to Requisitions Office] Stormtrooper: Uh, I know this is a super weird request, and I totally understand if you don’t have them, but I, uh, I mean, Moff Gideon, needs a pair of tiny handcuffs that would fit a baby. Requisition Officer: (reaches down and grabs something below his desk): Sure, no problem, here you go! Stormtrooper: Wait, you just have baby handcuffs? Just ready to go? Requisition Officer: What, isn’t that what you wanted? Stormtrooper: Um, yeah, but I didn’t think you’d actually have them. Requisition Officer: Well then, I guess today’s your lucky day.
