This is a wonderful hobby of ours and the sharing of ideas and techniques helps everyone involved. Having fun creating something that gives you pleasure is far more important (in my opinion) than shear size and money thrown at it. Peter Dixon Hi Peter, you have given me (and loads of other folk too) many hints and tips over the months and is worthy of a shout out for that alone let alone your brilliant layout too so thank you for that. As I said in the video, it’s my kind of model railway, it doesn’t have to be big and flashy to impress me - big is not always best in my opinion. The Manor House is basically built up from about seven different Metcalfe kits, all slightly modified to fit together, making each extension slightly lower in height to just add a bit of extra realism without actually noticing that they have been lowered. Clive briggs Thanks Clive and I totally agree with you as regards the bridges, I was hoping that I could get away with it but living with it for about a year now then it became obvious that the bow bridge had to go but I’m ok with that, I think a stone bridge will suit it much better and also it will stop it being so cluttered and will allow for better camera angles. Reaching 12k subscribers is an amazing achievement for me, something I never thought would happen to my channel and now I have had an additional 36 subs overnight - unbelievable.
