The Matrix is one of those rare perfect films, in my opinion. Not a single frame is wasted in The Matrix, that's how good that film is.

Yeah, well if it wasn't for that Grand Canyon sized gapping plot hole of the "matrix" simulation being unnecessary while we are being farmed for energy. We would just be put in a comatose vegetative state with no higher brain functions and thus a "simulation' for us to live in would be useless and not worth all the trouble of creating in the first place.

At 20:00 the Oracle offers Neo a cookie.there is more here than this simple scene. Remember they are inside the software program of the Matrix and the Oracle ( a programlike being ) just offered a cookie that he accepts . You do it everyday on your computer,,,,,taking cookies you are offered what your computer program asks if you will accept a cookie.

I read a reply on a channel about the Matrix movie, concerning what you said, of the cookie Neo ate was a program in a long-drawn-out explanation, but you explained it more clearly, after all these years I get it. The cookie program was hidden in plain sight all along. Thanks @MatthewPettyST1300! 😃👍

To add to this, in the pre-internet days there was a program called The Oracle run out of Purdue University, iirc. One asked a question, the Oracle answered (all text, of course, due to very low bandwidth) and at the end the Oracle would give a (non-existent/virtual) cookie. Cool, fun, silly.

Ok, but when the cookie expires? Is it mentioned in the movie series? Also why Neo needed to fight seraph in 2nd movie? He accepted the cookie, so oracle and her guard must recognize him. It is not following the logic what a cookie is supposed to do.

The Matrix was ground-breaking on so many levels and 20+ years later, it's still being talked about seriously as a template and will probably be talked about heavily 50+ years later. It's coming back around full-circle now because of AI tech and how it's evolving so the plot of the movie remains at least somewhat relevant, albeit perhaps exaggerated. As a young teen, I became obsessed with this movie when it came out and tried to find shades exactly like Neo wore and have my hair like his. 🤣

I saw this movie when it came out in 1999 and it changed me. I walked out of the theater and looked at the sky and wondered if we are all just living in a virtual reality. There are more Matrix movies. The second one has even better special effects and is more action packed. The third one is more dark and depressing, but gives the right conclusion to the series. Overall, the first movie is the best because it is so profound.

Loved your reaction ;) But before reacting to matrix 2 reloaded, you really MUST react to the animatrix. These are 9 shorts stories on the matrix universe who helps to understand it and to elarge the universe and the lore. Actually there are only 4 of the 9 that really matters to better understand the matrix sequels : -The second Renaissance : It's a matrix prequel which tells what happened between humans and machines and why the matrix was created -A kid's story : Origin story of a new character in matrix 2 & 3 -Last flight of the Osiris : It's an introduction to matrix reloaded, litterally a couple of hours before. Btw, matrix 2 (reloaded) and matrix 3 (revolutions) are actually a 4 hours film cut in two parts (they were shot back to back) and this is why they were both released the same year with only a 6 months gap. A little bit like the lord of the rings wich were shot back to back as well.

In mathematics a matrix is a table of tables, not the one you eat off of, but a table of numbers or data, a three-dimensional table. Or, in programming terms, an array of arrays. An array where each element is the address of another array.

It Wasn't, love's kiss. In Medieval Times, when they cut people's heads off, they would ask the head questions, and the head would answer by blinking their eyes. And yeah I know how that sounds. But it was discovered that the head would actually live separate from the body for as much as 2 minutes. Therefore, it is entirely possible that Neo heard Trinity talking to him, after he was shot dead. And that her kiss, simply reminded him of who, and Where he was.

'The Matrix' was made into a trilogy w/ Pt. 2 ('Matrix: Reloaded') and Pt. 3 ('Matrix: Revolutions')... A 4th movie 'Matrix: Resurrections' was made recently without Lawrence Fishburne ('Morpheus') and Hugo Weaving ('Agent Smith') and it flopped... I recommend the trilogy. The premise of 'Matrix' was that 'Neo' (whose name spells O-N-E) was originally born within the Matrix and had the power to change it as he pleased, was the one who freed a number of humans from bondage and led them to the underground city they called 'Zion'. After he died, the 'Oracle' within the Matrix prophesied his return... Morpheus was one of a few dedicated to finding Neo... Now, Agent Smith revealed that the Matrix was once built to be a perfect world, but human minds did not accept the program and thousands died as a result... So, the Matrix was re-designed to be more accommodating to reality of how the A.I. remembered the world of 1999. The question also remains: How many times was the Matrix re-designed? Going into the 2nd movie, the A.I. machines are not just 'agents' within the Matrix or 'squiddies' in the real world... There are numerous forms of A.I. within the Matrix that were assigned to maintain and function within that system ... They live and work within the Matrix and are subject to changes or being replaced over time... That should make thing a bit less complicated to finish the trilogy. And there are more revelations about Neo and the Oracle...

Will Smith turned down being Neo to do a bomb called Wild Wild West and Val Kilmer was originally gonna be Morphius

I could see Val Kilmer playing a good Morpheus but Laurence Fishburne nailed it. 🥰

Liala! I've been missing your reactions... KZfaq hasn't been promoting you that well. I think this showed up because I watched another Matrix reaction last week. Glad you're back in the feed, will catch up on your posts. I hope you do the Animatrix, Reloaded and Revolution. Don't bother with Resurrection

I forget, why was there a blue pill, anyway. To make you sleep and forget all that, to offer a choice? The red one was not enough to show that you could experience true reality, not the Matrix version, Alice in W. reference? Actually, the water everywhere on the night that Neo traversed these two dimensions was interesting too, especially the drinking and travelling via it later. The sages in the world lore claim that we travel in our mind, 'time-travel' style and pass through watery portals to reach our wanted destination. They are our canals of whirling passages we must move in to get to the other side. And that drinking the pure well-water of the Earth, and bathing in it is essential for cleaning chemicals. The Earth cleans the water by filtering it through layers, like plants and animals can rid toxins naturally passing through their systems. Air-borne toxins are washed away by using pure water, too.

Please, if you read this comment, please watch the “Animatrix” before watching matrix reloaded and matrix revolutions. . . It is an excellent, nine short film animation. It gives some prequels and follow-ups, leading towards reloaded and revolutions.

If you can manage it, you should watch Othello with Sir Laurence there and Kenneth Branagh. It's such excellent acting.

The matrix is such a mind warp, I actually liked what the sequels had to offer Except for resurrections it wasn't that good.

Watch The Animatrix after this. It tells the backstory of how everything happened that created the Matrix.
